He was interested in Clemson last year. He followed BV and Bates to Oklahoma.
Huge recruit for Bates...quietly moving up the recruiting rankings. Huge gains lately.
Interesting, that. We're ranked tenth on Rivals, but sixth on 247. I think it's a combination of a little different math in their rankings, the way they add their numbers. And then we have several players who are ranked higher on 247. For example, 247 has Arnold as a 5*, and Rivals has him a 4*. There are several others. But they also have a different formula for team rankings. Still, we're making pretty good progress.
At some point you should figure out that recruiting sites are running a business.
You don't have to be a paid member to see the rankings. I'm not, but that is free info. I understand all that stuff that running a business requires. I've been a one man company for 40 years and incorporated for 38. Right now, I've got 2.5 weeks to finish my Form 1120. I've been doing that by myself for a decade.

Actually, at the time I wrote that, we were ahead of Bama, who was 11th. But after LeBlanc committed, Alabama got a commitment from Caleb Downs, who is a 6.0 four star which on Rivals is a big deal. Derrick is also a four star, but only a 5.8 four star. So there was a change. It just changed back very quickly.

I don't think he was talking about the admin of the biz, but rather the content, the marketing and sales of the biz.
As long as we're in the top 15 or 10, that's all that really matters. It's up to the coaches to develop the talent from that point.

I so agree on the Coaching up. But I do think we're going to need to be in the Top 10 and closer to the Top 5 to win in the SEC. Between Baker, Murray, and Hurt, by each transferring into the program it gave TBOW his big name on a national level. If we had any defensive talent to match it, OU would have won a Natty.
