LD is 6-1 Varina is 5-2. This is a very important playoff seeding duel here! LD win would nearly assure them of a top 4 seeding. A Varina win keeps them in the hunt for a 3-4 seed.
Ld win tonight and next week they would probably be the 3 (possibly a 2 if HS shouldn't win out 9-1). I expect HS to finish 9-1.
LD plays Henrico next week and that could be interesting! It's getting tense in the Capital District!!

Next three weeks will be great in the Capital if you like meaningful, interesting games. Henrico-Lee-Davis coming up and then the big one, Varina-Highland Springs.

I would put all three teams, LD, Varina, & Henrico, in the same spot. If you shut down the running game especially Josh Rice and the WR screens, LD might struggle in the passing game. If Chambers for Henrico throws the ball as well as he did against us, they are hard to stop. All are solid teams and key injuries leading up to those matchups could be the difference.

LD has played two teams with a winning record - result 48-0 and 42-3 losses. I expect Henrico to beat them too. I have to admit, I was surprised Henrico beat Varina. I know Varina had players hurt, but you gotta have that next man up mentality. I hear they will have everyone back for HS....HS still wins this one though. So no shocker - HS goes undefeated in the Capital and never really tested.

I wasn't surprised Henrico beat Varina. I was surprised at the score of the Varina vs Lee Davis game. Sounds like a pretty dominating defensive performance by Varina. You have to favor Henrico this week considering they played Herm and HSHS close, but anything can happen. Chambers of Henrico was impressive against us. We didn't get much pressure on him and you can see him on tape go through his progressions to his 3rd receiver on at least one play. He didn't miss many throws.

Given recent events you would think Henrico would smash LD. The question is what does LD do when they get behind or can they only win if they have the lead and chew...

I'd be pretty shocked if Henrico didn't win this one.

I only saw them play Henrico, and they did not defend the pass very well. They also struggled with their pass game.
If they try to smash mouth HS with their run game, it isn't going to work. HS defense will shut them down.
HS offense is starting click on all cylendars with strong physical running and the passing game is hard to stop. Varina won't be able to handle it.

I was the one. I still think Varina played us very tough as anyone but HS.
