Any left-handed wrestlers among the Iowa guys who have competed this year? Would it be an advantage, if all else was equal?

You should wrestle based on your dominate leg. Do a cartwheel. The foot you stepped with is your dominate leg. Probably should be your lead leg. Since most coaches show moves right footed kids tend to do the same but it is kind of cool when a left legged kid figures it out and starts changing legs as part of their set up.

So I was a left-handed wreslter (albeit a High School junior varsity-quality one) A left-forward sugar foot stance felt natural to me. So high crotches, fireman's carries, collar ties, etc against me would work best the left handed way for my opponent. I still got taken down plenty of times, haha
I also rode on my opponent's right side most of the time, which felt like an advantage for me.

I always thought your lead leg was your support leg and the other being your dominate leg?
