Defense will win this one....SL can score, they have trouble stopping people...very big trend in football this year. I like Lemont by 14

Wow! So your saying that Lemont is at least that much better than Crete Monee as well. Should be a good one.

Cat Box - I was @ STL/C-M on Sat, Vikes looked fast & healthy, not sure if they are 100% but no new injuries this past weekend.

Hinterland - Being a STL alum living in Lemont, I have seen both squads, I would say...

Laurence has team speed advantage (matched C-M toe-2-toe), O-focus is no huddle/track meet style, and their D-focus is bend but don't break + TOs.

Lemont has the team size advantage, O-focus is ball control/shorten the game, and their D-focus has to be taking away STLs run game.

I believe whichever team dictates TEMPO moves on.

Thanks for the info. Just viewing Lemont from afar, their defense from a points allowed perspective is impressive. STL does appear to give up a lot of points which seems to eventually come back and bite a team in these later playoff rounds. I myself just do not have much confidence in a team which gives up a lot of points, regardless of how good the offense is. The offense only has to hiccup one game and it's often bye-bye. A solid defense at least gives you a chance. I see Lemont being able to do what they need to do to win this one.

How healthy is St. Lawrence?

I don't know how healthy St. Lawrence is but it's safe to say St. Laurence is coming in pretty healthy.

So last week it seemed like in forum land Crete was supposed to be the class of the South Bracket just like the week prior Richards was supposed to be at least a touchdown better. Now we have people saying Lemont is possibly 14 points better?? Yes I'm aware Laurence gives up points but now they have their O back and a legit RB who was off his feet for multiple weeks and was not getting knocked around but yet Lemont is supposedly 14 points better....... (Yes I broke man code there!) then again this is why the games are played so all our assumptions can be put to rest. That being said I smell another high scoring and fun game. Let's hope for great weather and a nice turnout from both sides have a great week and let the build up begin

Looking forward to this game. The teams look to match up well. Lemont looks to be well coached and very mistake free. StL has all its starters back and the offense is clicking. This may be Lemont's first test since the Richards game at the beginning of the season. It will be interesting to see how Lemont handles a high powered offense, especially on the road at StL.

One of the best matchups this weekend...IMO. Laurence probably has the toughest draw of anyone in 6A. Having already beaten Richards and C-M....now getting Lemont....with SHG possibly next.

I have always liked mistake free teams in these type of match ups.

It probably hurts SR's recruiting, but I have to cheer for StL. Would be nice to see the Vikings recapture some past glory.
