A team is allowed 85 on scholarship right? My simpleton math says that works out to just over 21 per class. How is 20 a bad number?

In the last five cycles, Alabama has signed 25, 26, 25, 24 and 28 players.

Oversign and cull is the mantra there.

You lose players to attrition all the time. Not all will stay or make it all the way through to their senior year.

20 isn't bad.. Alabama also has more 3 and out types. Kind of like Kentucky in BBall. Don't think they have too many misses in this class. I'd rather take 20, instead of reaching on two or three more, this year. Just gives them better distribution with next years class being bigger.
