Like the fact that Pace did what he had to do to get the guy he wanted. However, definitely some questions with this pick. He seems like a project, if for no other reason, he needs to get bigger and stronger. I would expect a top 10 pick to be plug and play. He's not a young rookie. He will be 24 in September and has had two shoulder surgeries. I like what Pace has done thus far in free agency and last year's draft (we shall see about Kevin White), so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. It's clearly a need. They don't have a speed guy at OLB, and they have to improve the pass rush. The big question: is this the right guy? We shall see. Definitely a boom or bust pick.

I agree with everything you said. It's not a bad pick, I don't love it...I just don't know what to think of it. It's a questionable pick but I'm giving Fangio & Fox the benefit of the doubt on this one. Seems like it was their type of guy.

I also like how they've traded twice in the 2nd round and got two fourth picks out of it. The Bears need every swinging di*k they can get out there. They need to hit on these picks though, no more punters and Shea's.

I remember a certain pick back in the 1983 draft that they said was too thin....

He became the MVP of Super Bowl 20 and a hall of famer

Also, Floyd is going to be 24 in September.
Maybe a little old to think he's still maturing??
The Bears drafted a guy a lot of people said was too fat in 1985 who scored a touchdown in the Super Bowl. Not sure what this has to do with anything either.
