Let’s talk about the Back Cuts…..

What I hate is seeing guys take good cuts towards the basket from the free throw line there and they're wide open for the pass to the basket and nobody gives it to them.
Guy at the three-point line with the ball never and I mean never makes that pass to the driver in front of them.
I seen it the Gonzaga game alot. Make that pass!!

It’s another wrinkle in the iffense. I bet if they start mastering that more, the 3 point percentage will start to rise where we expect it to be again.

We did it a couple of times in the first half. One was a beauty to Garrison for an easy Euro-Step layin.

I thought that was the key to the game. Nembhard was moving and passing through the transition defense the entire first half, but the 1-3-1 snuffed that out. Then they switched back to man-to-man after the Zags settled into their half-court offense each possession. I don’t care how athletic some freshman are, I don’t think you can pull that kind of shape shifting defense off without experienced players.
