If UL signed a class full of back-up players on a 7th grade middle school team they would be telling us how they are headed for the national championship game next year.I have to listen to Ul fans talking about how great they are and are gonna be.....yet they have 7th best class in ACC??
Rivals has UK 29th and your filthy cheating tards 37th. Petrino must have been busy with his bimbos.According to ESPN UK's class is 12th in the SEC.........just ahead of Mizzou's (understandable with the coach getting cancer) and Vandy. UK's class ranked 34th and UL's ranked 36 on ESPN. Not sure that is a wide enough gap to really brag about.
The truth is that our class is just a little better than theirs and they are both very respectable classes. The other truth is that they are mid pack in their conference and we are still toward the bottom of ours. Assuming the coaching is equal, they should win more games than us and yes, we will have to hear them talk about it. The single thing we can do to shut them up is to beat them once a year when we get the chance to go against them head to head. Stoops and Co. need to make that happen starting next year.
True. However, to solve for this particular variable I had to make the others equal. It is an algebra thing.lolBased on the past two years, I'd say that was a bad assumption.
How many of the SEC teams classes are rated in the top ten, top twenty vs ACC teams.According to ESPN UK's class is 12th in the SEC.........just ahead of Mizzou's (understandable with the coach getting cancer) and Vandy. Yep, both are respectable classes. But it's what you do with those classes that matter.....so that comes down to how does a coach improve their players. Petrino took a similar ranked recruiting class and won the Orange Bowl with said players. How a coach evaluates talent is the most important thing...not some national syndicates that don't know squat. How many 5 stars have you seen that go bust and 2/3 stars that play many years in the NFL?The truth is that our class is just a little better than theirs and they are both very respectable classes. They finished 3rd in their division, not 3rd in the ACC. I realize that UofLoL is not even a "mid pack" academic institution, but, still.Yep, both are respectable classes. Oh, and btw UofL is not a mid pack team in the ACC. They actually finished 3rd this past season and expect to finish somewhere in the top 3 again for 2016.

Hello MC bowl...you finished third in your division and tied for 5th overall...just thought I'd help you with that little "misprint" as I know you would never misrepresent OtisYep, both are respectable classes. It's OK BBP you WERE right and he was wrong!!!...NEVER trusts the "facts" when told by an Otis fan..not in their dnaBy mid pack, I was referring to them having the 6th or 7th best recruiting class in the ACC depending on the service. I guess I didn't put that to clearly.
Recruiting is a bizarre thing on any given day. What will these kids develop into? How will the coaching staff use them?
Fact is that Boisie, Missouri, Michigan State, and several dozen other schools have taken lower rated recruits or recruiting classes and built enormously respectable programs by having the right players in positions, discipline and game planning.
Coaching and player development are far more than fifty percent of the game.
Our coaching crew has done yeoman work in recruiting given the position and history of Kentucky football.
Now time for the rest of it.
I don't know if this still holds true, but ESPN has always been considered the least reliable service. Rivals in my opinion has always been the best at predicting future success. I don't have facts to back that up, but it's the only one I personally trust.
When discussing L-villes football recruiting most people forget their method and what they do. They usually recruit within a few points of where we are at but you have to take into account that they then take all transfers who have suspended or thrown off their respective teams for whatever crimes they've committed. I may be wrong but wasn't four or five of their defensive starters this year transfers? That pushes them ahead of us talent wise if you don't mind the criminal element on the team. I guess that's what it takes to be a L-ville man????If UL signed a class full of back-up players on a 7th grade middle school team they would be telling us how they are headed for the national championship game next year.

And lest you forget, they have the greatest coach and staff on the planet. If UL signed a class full of back-up players on a 7th grade middle school team they would be telling us how they are headed for the national championship game next year.
IF UK ended up with a class rated 10th overall it'd probably still be 5th or 6th best in the SEC.The sad reality of our situation is that for us to crack the top half of the SEC in recruiting rankings, we would have to land a top 10 class nationally.
