Last April, the CIA director was shown intelligence that worried him. It was - allegedly - a tape recording of a conversation about money from the Kremlin going into the US presidential campaign.

It was passed to the US by an intelligence agency of one of the Baltic States. The CIA cannot act domestically against American citizens so a joint counter-intelligence taskforce was created.

The taskforce included six agencies or departments of government. Dealing with the domestic, US, side of the inquiry, were the FBI, the Department of the Treasury, and the Department of Justice. For the foreign and intelligence aspects of the investigation, there were another three agencies: the CIA, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the National Security Agency, responsible for electronic spying.

Lawyers from the National Security Division in the Department of Justice then drew up an application. They took it to the secret US court that deals with intelligence, the Fisa court, named after the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. They wanted permission to intercept the electronic records from two Russian banks.

Their first application, in June, was rejected outright by the judge. They returned with a more narrowly drawn order in July and were rejected again. Finally, before a new judge, the order was granted, on 15 October, three weeks before election day.

--There were two failed FISA applications before the accepted one - we need to see those also, and what the difference between the failed and accepted were.

Guardian - more good info - link

GCHQ first became aware in late 2015 of suspicious “interactions” between figures connected to Trump and known or suspected Russian agents, a source close to UK intelligence said. This intelligence was passed to the US as part of a routine exchange of information, they added.

Over the next six months, until summer 2016, a number of western agencies shared further information on contacts between Trump’s inner circle and Russians, sources said.
....
The European countries that passed on electronic intelligence – known as sigint – included Germany, Estonia and Poland. Australia, a member of the “Five Eyes” spying alliance that also includes the US, UK, Canada and New Zealand, also relayed material, one source said.

Another source suggested the Dutch and the French spy agency, the General Directorate for External Security or DGSE, were contributors.

Late 2015 on, Trump's administration was under surveillance.

The domestic counter-intel task force
  • the FBI(McCabe, Strzok and unnamed individual)
  • the Department of the Treasury
  • and the Department of Justice
  • the CIA - Brennan, Halper, Gina Haspel?
  • the Office of the Director of National Intelligence - Clapper
  • the National Security Agency - Mike Rogers
Halper was thrown under the bus to try to stop the investigation at that point. He is only a small part of the illegal surveillance.

This report was before the dossier and the official report with Crowdstrike backup were available. They used the dossier to confirm the Russian hacking. Did Crowdstrike?

Hillbag's will still conclude in the next couple of weeks. The FISA one is going to take a while, probably right before midterms.

Even if the FBI suspected Russians' infiltration into the Trump campaign, what was the threat to national security if they did? According to all of the experts, Trump had no shot of winning. So what was the FBI's interest in placing his operation under surveillance if it wasn't to "insure" he wouldn't/couldn't win?

Keyser if you had to choose the most important thing for you in this story between

1) Getting Trump
or
2) Seeing Justice done

What's more important to you? Just be honest.

If it's 1 what would be the crime(s) or Justice done as you'd like to see it?

Can you answer 2 The same way if that is your sincere desire?

An even better question is what was he up to that required a FISA warrant? That's National security! Was Trump "colluding" with Russians to give them our Nuclear launch codes? What was the threat to our National Security that his whole campaign had to be placed under constant surveillance, including a planted "informant" and 24/7 eavesdropping through electronic surveillance?

Trump must have been up to some serious sh*t with those Bolsheviks! Wonder why they're having such a hard time producing the hard evidence into what exactly he was up to?o_O

Less than a week after investigation officially opened, and during or after meeting with "company" men, Strzok tells Page "the WH is running this"

We at least know they had zero interest in "protecting" him from Russians or anyone else don't we?
