Let's talk about Kennedy Brooks

Did anyone see this guy emerging as an every down powerhouse? Very impressive runner. He leads the NCAA in yards per carry at 9.64. His highlights are amazing.





I hate to see Rodney Anderson go, but with Brooks, Sermon, Pledger, and whoever else is coming in, the future looks great as usual at the RB spot.

I guess that speaks to the depth OU has at certain positions. Without injuries and players leaving Brooks may have never even seen the field. The guy is so smooth and deceivingly fast and powerful. I really like what he has brought to the team......he may even be better than Sermon

With all the talk about the defensive issues the stars on offense are not getting the attention they deserve.Brooks is going to be a star he just glides and chews up big chunks of yardage.We are fortunate to have the depth at that position.We need Pledger and Sermon this weekend too to give him a rest.

I never saw this guy coming. I figured he'd be another decent 3-star RB who runs for about 350 yards and four or five TDs in his career at OU since he was behind Abdul Adams, Rodney Anderson and Tre Sermon. He's not flashy and at all and I'm not sure how he does it, but he just gets the big yards. He looks like a pure north-south runner, but has the ability to make guys miss, he is strong enough to break tackles and is deceptively quick. I'm assuming Gundy recruited him and he's far exceeded expectations!

The thing that impresses me is how effortless he runs. I swear I'm looking at him thinking, my god man run harder...and then BOOM, he's through the hole and gone. And I'm like, damn, I guess he was running hard, lol, just so easy for him.

No fair to compare him and Sermon. A totally different style of runner, and it's so nice to have them both. We are good at RB for a few years. #RunningBackU

I would tend to agree...runs upright and has deceptive power and speed. Like Rodney Anderson he has an overdrive that kicks in. Not going to break ankles with moves, but has a nose for hitting hole...then is crossing the goal line. He and Sermon compliment each other’s game style.

My thoughts exactly, upright running style like Dickerson. Not putting him in the same talent level just yet that Dickerson had but the running style is what made me think of Dickerson watching him run.

That's what I've noticed as well. And he's got the power to run through tackles. I wonder what his yards after contact is.

He may have had a record breaking season if he had been the primary back all season.

Kennedy Brooks = Emmitt Smith...a glider, never takes a clean hit, picks the right hole, patient, deceptively fast, always falls forward, smooth, stamina. The coaches were right when they recruited him.
