On day one of this season, I’d have said Lexington by three touchdowns... after Lexington’s loss to West Davidson last week, I’d say it’ll be Thomasville by 2 TD’s.

Lexington Dline is weak, they won't be able to stop the Dawgs from running the ball. Tville's defense should be able to hold the Jackets to 14 pts. Dawgs by at least 2 TDs.

Well, here we go. We start the game with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, because the entire Lexington team goes to midfield just before kickoff and stomps on the T at midfield.
Especially in light of what has happened throughout the state with brawls, what a classless act. Zero respect for the Lexington coaches.

Thomasville intercepts at their own 20 and runs it back. Refs said he stepped out at the 46. Dogs driving. No score at the end of the first.

Glad to see Tville beating the brakes off Lexington. Lexington is the biggest ******** in the Triad. That being said, whether it be Lexington or any other school, should you do something stupid like this and it results in a fight, you should be suspended from the playoffs and the coach suspended for the remainder of the year, and the school fined. No place for classless BS in high school where kids don’t have the maturity to let things slide and it could end up in a mess for all Involved.

I'm glad you said it before me Distance,I never liked anything about the city of Lexington,I don't even go there unless I have to,just something about that place and I don't know how and when it started...maybe it was because of their football team

There are good people in Lexington but I’ve been in the Triad for 50+ years and can tell you it’s the most *** backwards place in the area. Whether it be youth sports, high school sports, school system, academics, politics (sheriff), etc, it’s a damn mess all the time with very little class as a whole.

Well, that pregame mess surely backfired on them. And man, we have a coaching staff! Not just a head coach, but a staff. Kudos to both coordinators for their adjustments.

LoL ram, I’m tellin you man it is a third world country tucked into Davidson county.

In the defense of the good folks in Lexington, they’ve been hit hard by the decline of furniture and other industry in the city over the last 30 years.

Yes you did. And how right you were.
As for the Lexington PR job, afraid it’s taken. How do you think they get all those magazine mentions? It’s the 35k they pay to the PR firm every year. Apparently money well spent. But they still made #5 in those lists of “most redneck” and “most ghetto” towns in NC. Pretty hard to make both. May need to invest some of that money for the high school for PR.

Lexington got decimated by the furniture buisness. It’s unreal.
So did Thomasville. It’s how you react to it that counts. Actually, both cities are bouncing back fairly well. Thomasville has taken a more ground roots approach, while Lexington’s has been top down. Lexington’s biggest challenge is that it keeps losing population.

No offense to our Hispanic friends but Thomasville’s biggest issue athletically is the growing Hispanic population in district. Those young men and women don’t play football and basketball. Thomasville does have a great kicker though.

How does Lexington coach still have his head coach position. Lexington has talent but leadership isn't there. He's been holding the school back for years.

Thomasville is on their way. Congrats on the win Bulldogs

He’s been ran off from HpC and Ledford before landing at Lexington. He’s a decent coach I think, but not great.

That being said, Lexington has some athletes but they don’t have enough talent in the barn to be good consistently so I disagree there. Talent in spots is very different than being a talented team.

I drive by the school every morning on my way home after work, and I'll be straight up about it,I very rarely see any black or white kids walking to school, all Hispanic...when I went there mid to late 80s it was maybe 60/40 black and if you seen a Hispanic you did a double take, thomasville should be a soccer powerhouse....same thing happened/happening to Cummings

Hispanics make great linemen and backers. Not so much wrs or rbs... But Patrick Maholmes is setting standards for qb. Perhaps the time of the Hispanic athlete is coming...
