Award shows are the worst our culture has to offer, and that's saying something. These things are totally, completely marketing schemes. Why must there be a vote to determine which art is best? Why must the vote be restricted to a small group of people WHO THEN MARKET IT TO THE ENTIRE PUBLIC ON A TV SHOW AS IF THE PUBLIC SHOULD BE INTERESTED IN WHAT THE GROUP THAT EXCLUDED THEM THINKS???
Seriously, all awards shows are complete garbage. I'm talking about the awards shows themselves. Like whatever music or movies or whatever that you like. But a TV show to officially crown something at Best? What cheap, marketing junk. And the entire concept of it is anti-art.
