And should have added, lies, lies, lies. PSU did nothing to support a great coach who did nothing in the Sandusky crap. That guy is a disgrace.
Ever since he left FSU, their rating has gone up and PSU, a ridiculously expensive public university, has…..
NO!!does PSU have any leadership? From the BOT on down?
A lot of slow progress? Barron is a total ***.Acknowledge Paterno's contributions?
Get the Big 10 to reverse what they did?
Lies, lies, lies, yeah!
He did get rid of gender specific pronouns. You've got to give him credit for that.Leadering.
The answer to your question is, your Board of Trustees. The same people who are going to hire his replacement. Makes you feel warm all over, doesn't it?What a limp dick in Barron. Who hires these pieces of ****?
It’s no accident or coincidence! That guy is a disgrace.
Ever since he left FSU, their rating has gone up and PSU, a ridiculously expensive public university, has…..
Also, isn't he the guy that was going to read the Freeh Report and report back on that?
The best puppet money could buy.So glad they have nothing from me to put towards this waste of money.

Penn State trustees approved a series of merit pay raises for the university’s senior leaders Friday, including outgoing President Eric Barron, who has announced his retirement at the close of the current academic year.
Barron, 69, was awarded an increase of 2.5 percent for 2021-22, which resets his base salary to $876,612. Barron’s total compensation - including a scheduled $200,000 retention bonus and other perks - will be above $1.1 million. According to The Chronicle of Higher Education, Barron was the 7th-highest paid public college leader in America in 2020.
Amen. These people have no shame. Hell, it's not their money. So glad they have nothing from me to put towards this waste of money.

And yet he still rode in the Homecoming parade float with Suepa…so I’m not sure the above is accurate. The BoT controlled everything Barron did or failed to do. He was ordered to continue ignoring Joe, to make a farce out of Grand Marshall selections, and to not pursue the stolen Bowl money by the Big Ten.
In other words, a cowering puppet.
It's dead on.And yet he still rode in the Homecoming parade float with Suepa…so I’m not sure the above is accurate.
No worries, We got this.....View attachment 160244View attachment 160245
Um, no. So he ignored Joe but put Suepa on the cover of the Alumni magazine last month? It's dead on.

Yeah I agree. It would be good to have some additional remembrance of his legacy visible, perhaps at or near the stadium. There is the spiritual center but that is really Sue’s work. I’d like to see the words “Success with Honor” shown, sort of like the “We Are” sculpture, someplace on campus. That IMHO would be a better way to honor him than the statue was, and be more representative of his values and what he brought to the university. They still maintain the Paterno Fellows program for high achieving liberal arts students, but no one here cares about that because it’s an academic program, although it’s an excellent one and one that the Paternos sponsor.Don‘t you think Joe should have greater representation on campus? Let’s put aside the statue. Outside of the library (they can’t remove the Paterno name due to the endowment), is Joe‘s legacy visible on campus? They removed pictures of Joe from the HUB. Is Joe even shown in the PSU athletic hall of fame?

FIFYItHedid get rid of gender specific pronouns. You've got to give ithimcredit for that.
That's a great question about the Hall of Fame or All Sports Museum. I'd like to know myself.Don‘t you think Joe should have greater representation on campus? Let’s put aside the statue. Even if selections were allegedly made by students, I can see the BOT and Barron's grubby paws directing themI'm hardly a fan of Barron's. But for accuracy, I must point out, without going into specific details, that at least part of what you stated is inaccurate.
Pay close attention to item 4.I prompted in another thread to read Barry Fenchak's facebook. Found this summary of Barron.
Under Eric Barron
1 - Penn State has the highest tuition and fees for in-state students of any University in the nation.
2 - Penn State's academic ranking in the Big Ten has dropped from 4th to 10th.
3 - Penn State was just evaluated as the 14th Best Value in the Big Ten (that is 14th out of 14), as measured by the US News and World Report annual evaluation - and as 12th out of 14 by the Wall Street Journal.
4 - Penn State's long-term debt has exploded from $900 Million when Barron arrived, to nearly $3.5 Billion today.
