Part of playing through mistakes is knowing what your mistakes are. It is a process of teaching them what is and iant good enough and then letting them loose.

Of course, these items don’t solve all of West Virginia’s problems. It still turns the ball over as if it were radioactive, and defense is still a problem. However, the first step on the road to that improvement is buy-in, and that has been evident over the past couple of weeks

First time that I've ever heard him say that; his pulling of a player who makes a quick mistake is usually his norm. The only reason he didn't yank McCabe (and that's who he was referring to) was that he didn't have an option sitting on the bench. This is the biggest gripe that I've had with Huggins, not letting players play through their mistakes.

Shame he didn't practice what he's preached earlier in the season. McCabe's breakout game on Tuesday may have been due to his growing comfort in the system and natural maturation as the season draws to a close. However, it's probably much more likely that his improved play is a result of his assurance that he won't be benched for a half when he misses a 10-footer.

It's more like he had to get it done. There was nobody going in to help. So it was either do it or die on the vine.
