I think their political and strategic irrelevancy is the most satisfying outcome of this whole process. Leftists seek nothing more than raw pure political power....so much power you are powerless to stop them. Their ultimate desire has been turned on their aimless pointed Leftist arrogant heads. They are now rendered politically powerless over the Federal Courts.

How great is that?

Leftists thought ending the filibuster would allow them to "pack" the courts, and it's backfired on them BIG TIME!!!!! Now they have to sit back and watch their own strategy used against them and there isn't a damn thing they can do to stop it!

Just Damn!

Imagine if you're on the Left watching your own diabolical plans explode in your face and there's nothing you can do to stop it?

Here's the AP's "take" on Justice Barrett being nominated to the SUPCO. The best line for me is excerpted below.

excerpt:
for Democrats, it will be another moment of reckoning, with their party locked in a bitter battle to retake the White House and the Senate.

Senate Republicans are readying for confirmation hearings in two weeks, with a vote in the full chamber now expected before Election Day. Democrats are essentially powerless to block the votes.

So just shut up and observe you ignorant recalcitrant Leftists, because there isn't a damn thing your planned hysterics or antics can do to stop this!

I will say that I was afraid that ACB would try to recuse herself and not vote on certain issues due to her religion and her worrying that it would affect things. As long as she doesn’t recuse herself, she seems to be a good originalist and textualist.

However, I will always say that I am not a fan of adopting from other countries when you have kids here in the USA that need adopted and good homes.

I fully understand the sentiment about adopting American kids first , but in all fairness its easier to adopt from other countries. We need to cut lots of red tape on adoption, & still be vigilant on who can adopt.

Not sure if still the case but knew a couple a few years ago trying to adopt an American kid, and the list was like a 4 years wait after you got through the process.

I understand it may be easier, but for someone who has the means like ACB and others, a lot of those hoops can be jumped through. But about your statement, I firmly believe that the adoption process in the USA needs to be reworked in drastic ways. Some of it comes down to how much money the parents are willing to pay through the process, and the overall vetting process shouldn’t take that long. Adoption reform is a big issue that never gets mentioned by any local or federal government candidate and it’s frustrating to say the least.
