Not sure if that is Jarrett or Vlad with no closeup. It is Jarrett.

You can't make this up.

They get these games because they’re doing what they’re told. If the SEC wanted UK to get a fair whistle, they would make sure it happened. For some reason, the conference hates its most profitable basketball team.
The block call on Carr. Incompetent or doing what league wants.

Otega's mouth fouling an elbow.

Carr tackled.

They should have been done if evaluated. Only actual goaltend they missed and called two clearly clean blocked shots as goaltends.

I think it more has to do with gambling and how much money is bet on a team possibly. I'm just guessing, a theory of sorts, but maybe Kentucky has the most money wagered due simply to our large fan base and that somehow gets bigger changes in spread from opening spread and then bigger players come in etc and possibly more bad "influential " money... just spit balling... but it does seem kentucky gets a bad whistle and we really don't seem to get any home whistle which seems the most odd to me.

The SEC continually demonstrates that it isn't the quality of games that motivates them. Nobody with an objective mind can say that the SEC has high quality officiating. Or that the SEC is even trying to prioritze that. Just the same mid, primadona officials. Simply no accountability. ...or pride in craft among the officials themselves.

I just have this feeling that SEC team are gonna struggle in the tournament. May be a completely different game than what they are used to.

Jay Williams mentioned that.

The last paragraph.

I texted someone basically the identical theory < 2 days ago.

Popularity = Wagers = Swingable Money

I have zero faith that gambling doesn't play a part. Opening the door to normalizing gambling as part of being a sports fan has done for more damage to college sports than NIL ever could. Crazy that they've all the sudden been pushing all this gambling crap. Even crazier is that people spend their hard earned money on a recreation that is possibly the only entity more corrupt than the US government.

Bingo.

Gambling has ruined sports. After the Tim Donaghy stuff, I don’t trust refs or some players.

Shows truly shouldn’t even be doing hs games, what an embarrassment having him and Lindsey do a game of this level is laughable.

Cannot wait to see all the holds and grabs called against the SEC in the NCAAT on screens away from the ball and on handoffs. The SEC has done a disservice to the players and guarantee we hear about “freedom of movement” this off season like the nba opened up to. When the SECT is compared to playing football, that’s an embarrassment altogether.

The fact that the SEC considers Shows and Lindsay as good refs underscores their bias against UK. Cuz the Shows and Lindsay we witness are objectively terrible refs

Only managed to call 46 fouls. Rank amateurs.

Maybe if they started calling some of those moving screens they could up pump up their numbers?

I watched a little of the game. Tn was trying to make a run down 5 points, ….Joe Lindsay makes 3 calls in a row , all 3 out of his area, all 3 wrong calls!

All 3 were area of Shaws, who correctly had no call… after that sequence where Lindsay inserted himself in the game , Florida was up by 12 points , and TN got two players foul out….game over…

If I did that sequence of the 3 calls out my area calls and all wrong and change the momentum of a game….my commissioner would bench me for 3 games…..

Those guys make these kind of calls and get rewarded…. You start to wonder what is SEC agenda….

They are objectively great at controlling games and ensuring the desired outcome.

Everyone knows the quality of ref in sec games is garbage. It’s no surprise every season when sec teams dip out of the tourney at an alarming rate. Most of these teams play football on the basketball court. I wish I could screen shot it and post, but in a slow mo replay of Brea coming off a screen and getting hacked on the shot, Alabama kid (Philon) was grabbing and actually pulling the shorts and jersey of Koby while he was coming around the screen, luckily he hacked the arm on the shot, otherwise no call. It was so crazy to see, in slow motion, up close, how much these kids are taught to grab and hold like that. Terrible.

I can't speak of other conferences because I don't give a crap but there needs to be a major investigation into the reffing in SEC games this year. I've been watching sports for 60 years and never seen such influence on the outcome in any sport.

I believe Oglesby and Fat Adams are doing the aac championship so it’s not just the sec that employs ****** refs.

Correct they are. Pat Adams, Don Dailey, and Terry Olgelsby. It also shows they don't grade them at all because they were in Nashville yesterday.

It's easier now more than ever to influence the outcome of a game if you are an official...and to make bets through a strawman. Absolutely no way to track the $$ this way.

ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THERE ARE OFFICIALS BETTING ON GAMES AND INFLUENCING THE OUTCOME.
