Clinton only sent two E-Mails and by the ultra-low standards of Presidents throughout history, Clinton probably did a better job than most.

Why should we care about E-Mail count?

The current President will go down as one of the worst in history and I'm sure he has sent more E-Mails than anybody .......... and his selfie count will most assuredly never be topped.

I never used email in my business life. What is so odd about that? I have been retire for a while, but I do not believe email would be used by me today. Telephone was quiet satisfactory for communicating. Letter was written as needed for professionalism. What is so attractive about emailing?

We shouldn't as it relates to his qualifications for POTUS.
But I do think it's relevant to his qualifications for being chair on a technology committee when he doesn't use technology.

Since you asked the question the way you did, you must be suggesting by my statement before that a defense attorney should be a criminal?

So, let me ask you this ... Do you think an engineer that is in politics but has never studied law or been in a courtroom should be the chair on a committee regarding regulations for lawyers?

Lindsey Graham was born in 1955 so he was about 40 when e-mail started getting common. Figure out what year it was when you turned 40 and think of a technology that was becoming common at that time and that is ubiquitous today. Whatever you think of I bet you use it now.

Email was certainly common before Bill left office

But not common when he entered office.

I don't care of the POTUS uses email. For the majority of correspondence I would think it would be advantageous to NOT use email. Or, if it is used, it would be on a secure network and not a random .com. (which is my problem with Hilary's use of her own computer)

Once someone becomes POTUS the way they operate probably has to change for security reasons. I remember when Obama became POTUS he was upset that he had to give up using his Blackberry. So I don't necessarily think a POTUS has to use e-mail. I'm not putting down Graham because if he becomes POTUS he'll be ineffective because he doesn't use e-mail. Rather my point is that it makes him look totally out of touch and it makes him look like he can't handle change.

The 'experience' sure is paying off, heh?

Paying off to the tune of placing him in the wing of worthless presidents along with George W., Franklin Pierce, and Jimmy Carter.

This comes down to a semantics argument anyway. His office assuredly uses email, and people at that level have staffers to handle communications anyway. I have a bigger problem with Lindsey Graham being a certifiable idiot.

As I see the use of it today, I would never consider it to be an asset in the business world. Maybe if you had red lines to contacts. Naw, telephone would never be replaced. Too much lag time. Absolute waste of time when action is required.

You made the correct assumption. As far as politics go, candidates are hired to represent the people. I fail to see your specialization connection.

Your trail of logic actually ends up validating my original point. Thank you.

My contention was that Graham shouldn't be the chair of a committee on technology when he doesn't have any kind of understanding of it.
