I definitely wasn't falling for it this year.

The fact USM was not only getting pressure but causing sacks with only 2 and 3 rushers was embarrassing.

Shut down our run game in the 2nd half.

Most of us were concerned about the front 7 on defense and that was a comical effort.

Another "sposed to be SEC performance".

Games are won at the line and we are obviously lacking.

Add to it a coach who refuses to adjust during games and this may turn into yet another year that many schools are down providing a golden opportunity...

just to find out we are down even worse than they are... again

The last UK offensive play says it all. 3-man rush, undersized (by SEC standards) Defensive End easily beats our RT, sacks Barker, and causes a fumble. That matchup was won solely on technique and desire as that DE displayed average speed.

No adjustments...Stoops shows his hand and then, makes no attempt to adjust plays to correct flaws. The assistants bear responsibility, as well. Incompetence is rearing its ugly head again. No excuses in year four....

1. The inability for UK to not control the LOS and hammer the run game in 2nd half to ice the game even with our awful defensive front 7 is telling. The pass protection on the edges were shaky in the 2nd half....signs of the past.
2. I don't know where to start on the defensive front
- Elam is just a huge kid that is easily blocked by a C with no double team
- Miggins and Ware were OK IMO.
- The rest were just plain awful and hammered by a C-USA OL. Middleton, Bell was really bad, Josh Allen was on ice skates, etc...

What else is there to say...you can't imagine a nice season from here on out. Maybe UK will split the Miss St, Vandy, USC and Mizzou games and win the other two OOC games....but they have little reaslistic shot at the rest. So we're stating at 4 win season at best?

I've been screaming since day one that stoops refuses to make in game adjustments. He a very piss poor in game head coach. And it's time he goes. Bring a coach in that can actually 'coach' this 'talent'. He's a terrible head coach you all. Been tryin to tell everyone here this. But all of you all don't listen. Halftime adjustments? Still nonexistent. Read option defense? Still as pathetic as ever. Our coach just isn't a winner and it reflects with our team's efforts. We had no business losing this game because Dawson is trash. So much for that beer they'll have later down the road. When the man you fired beats you in his first game after firing him. Then obviously the guy is way over his head. Shannon Dawson is laughing his *** off and I bet that greeting at mid field was the most bitter sweet moment in Dawson's career. He couldn't possibly feel better. And Gran. Was outperformed by Dawson, let's not forget that.

Gran and Dawson don't go up against each other's units. Gran could shine and if the D is sucking we may still lose.

Gran allowed the Southern Miss DC to out perform him.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. USM's offensive unit. In comparison to our offensive unit. Blew us out the water. Our old OC in comparison to our new OC did a much better job. They scored 34 unanswered points. Which shows how much we fail in the in game adjustments department. This is on Stoops. And it's time we cut ties with him and pay the man his unearned money.

K_TIME, as you know many came on here almost daily lamenting both lines but especially the DL. You did, I did but others too. The DL, unfortunately, isn't anywhere near an even serviceable D1 front. Forget about SEC quality. And, as feared, the LBs are way too small. Poor Jones was dragged all over CWS by their RBs like a rag mop. This front 7 is Jokeresque, plain and simple but due to recruiting failures 2-3 years ago there's little hope in sight. Just a dreadful, putrid unit.

Bottom line, the Defense is not good. Elliott is a terrible DC, and Stoops will not replace him. The 3-4 is not working, the front 7 is awful, the secondary was good the 1st half, and a no show the 2nd half.
Unless a scheme change-personel change is made, there is no chance of winning more that 4 games at the most, maybe not more than 4 IF a change is made.
