*****Lipscomb vs Iowa Game Thread*****

[longliveCS40]

Free throw shooting has been atrocious.

[Whtnhawk]

Was Coon Iowa POY?

Iowa Free Throws

[LetsGoHawks83]

FTs.... Oh boy

[Manfredi]

I think Peyton could be decent.

[IAHawkGrad2000]

#0 (redhead) was a 4* that picked us over gonzaga??? shouldnt he be good enough to play more other than mop-up duty?

[2432Hawk]

Joey "Putback" Matteoni

[Hawksfor3]

Free throw shooting has been atrocious.

But at least it's horrific!

[Hurricane88]

Coon looks great. I'm really impressed with his versatility.

[Ozzie89]

Is that Eric Snow at the line. Good grief

you realize you can only play 5 guys at a time?

[LetsGoHawks83]

Tuned in late...

Have we made a FT tonight?

[TRHawkeye28]

Free throw shooting has been atrocious.

Could be a 40 point win

[ChicagoHawk2020]

I haven’t shot a basketball in over a decade and I think I could put up a better ft percentage than Iowa did tonight.

Barely

[MAKhawks]

******* Coleman costed me bricking his FTs.

[Hawksfor3]

Coon 12/6/1.

[TRHawkeye28]

Won by 22 - missing every 1 and 1 FT

Only negative tonight IMO. Everything else was fine.

A little too much PM but my guess it's bc we need to match their guards. And Coon is going to be really really good. Same with Tyreek. He's raw but huge potential

[IAHawkGrad2000]

high fiving fans around the court... thats cool. did they do that last year?

[Manfredi]

******* Coleman costed me bricking his FTs.

You wanna know what it cost me to have him do that?

[HawksRule25]

14-28 FT for Iowa.

[PeteJox]

6/25 from 3

14/28 from the line

In other news give Coon all the minutes he can handle. Physically looks like a Eric may/Chris kingsbury hybrid. Great motor with great athleticism.

I thought that was high character of them to do that. Hope it continues.

A lot of those misses were from 1 and 1s. So potentially double that amount. Its a waste of possessions

I’d love to know. How a college pg misses four straight FTs takes skill

McCollum gets it! You have to get fans back to Carver and get excited about the program.

[Hawk-A-Doodle-Doo]

Work on those free throws guys. 11-20 (55%).

Is that good??

Doodle is asking for a friend.

[Rambler Hawk]

Was Coon Iowa POY?

Yup and Jireak (sp?) the year before...

[MAXIMUSHAWKEYE]

Where was McKeever??

We're missing wide-open looks off good ball movement.

You have to hope that rounds out over the course of the season.

[2432Hawk]

Coon was Mr. Basketball. Iowa Gatorade POY was Colin Rice of Waukee NW (Now at Nebraska). 24-25 Iowa POY was Jack McCaffery. Jirak was Mr. Basketball.

[Passing Is For COMMIES]

As they say, “good teams win, great teams cover.”

If Lipscomb had nailed a 3 after Coleman bricked those 2 free throws I would have been livid. $10 is $10.

[HawksRule25]

Where was McKeever??

[2432Hawk]

he wasn't going to play much tonight anyways as he's not one you want guarding a 5 out offense.

He's going to play a lot no matter who they play once healthy

Might want to let Ben know your plans

[ChicagoHawk2020]

Why would I need to tell him anything when that's already what he's going to do? I mean it's pretty obvious. He's not a gadget player, he's going to be one of our best.
