Well, in his defense, he probably thought that with 30 seconds left and 3 timeouts, we had a good chance of scoring a TD there, which would have probably felt like a knockout blow.
I'm sure he did not think we'd be kicking a field goal on 2nd down with just 6 seconds left and two timeouts in our pocket.

That right there was when I literally had my own "Were gonna lose this 31-30 because we didn't go for the kill shot."
We pissed that opportunity away. After the 1st down play, Beamer let EIGHT seconds tick off the clock before calling TO because he says he thought the pass was incomplete.
When you give away a game like that, there's no smoking gun, especially when there's nothing to point to in the 2nd half like multiple TOs.
We reverted to ourselves and they reverted to themselves. Unexpected given the lead, but not that surprising given our struggles this year.
Oh yeah. The Beamer cheer on his way to the locker room gave them everything they needed in terms of motivation.

Yes, we score a TD and game over. I said the same thing. Problem is we botched the shop situation and ended with 3.
