He's still saying he has great confidence in this team's integrity and drive to become better. I don't doubt their integrity. I am certain they are competitors and I am also sure they will work hard to improve.

His REAL problem is he's trying to get orange juice from lemons. You can't squeeze elite talent out of role players, no matter how hard you coach them. If Mark Pope can turn this group into an elite team, he will literally be working miracles.

He's talking about poor shot selection and better understanding of running the offense, but I don't think it's lack of understanding or even effort. It's lack of ABILITY. Against top D1 talent, average players struggle. There's no way around it. That's what we have.

I gotta be honest, I could give two ***** about my team's "integrity". This is sports, were not trying to pass an ethics class.

Can this athletic department, and more specifically Mitch and the basketball program, finally realized this isnt the damn 50s anymore? What are we talking about integrity for like we're some post WW2 basketball team that has mandatory Mass afterwards.

This sounds harsh and maybe it's in the heat of the moment, but sometimes I think this programs deserves what's coming. Mitch hiring "family men"? Putting the old blue hairs on the sidelines? Always taking the high road, never looking to push boundaries.

This is a revenue driving basketball team, not the church league. If youre not out there winning games then none of this matters. Wake up.

Considering Rupp was our coach in the 50s he didn’t let morals get in the way of winning. No one who was serious about sports even in the 50s did.

1000%! It’s about winning and the rest is just filler! I’m starting to think, based on his record vs p5 teams, that he has no f’n clue what the assignment is at Kentucky!

I’m starting to believe that there are problems within this roster. The best thing for our success moving forward is to cut loose Aberdeen, Mo Diabate, and Garrison.

I still want to see what we look like with a Quaintance and hopefully Lowe in the lineup. If there is anything that really concerns me so far about this team its our shooting, but defenseivly I thought last night was their best game they have played. They got destroyed on the offensive rebounds by NC and we shot 7% from 3 that was the difference in that game. Hell if we had shot just 25% from 3 we win that game easy or keep them from getting so many second chance points.

Well, Mark said before the season that this team had all the pieces to win the National Championship. So, he’s either a terrible judge of talent, or, he’s not coaching very well.

Either way, he‘s responsible.

He should have brought in guys that were built for his system like last season. He tried to fix the issues with last year’s team and now we can’t score.
ANY coach knows that you have to recruit players that fit your system. If Pope doesn't know this, then he has no business @ UK.
Garrison & Mo are 2 perfect examples. Neither can score or are good passers. They don't rebound or even set screens.
Very disappointing coaching, recruiting and performance.
