-Yes, RU lost this game on the FT line but they literally won the Purdue/Illinois games. RU needed every one of those in those games too as did Iowa today. It happens in close games for better or for worse.
-Several of the foul calls against Iowa, I didn't think were in the act of shooting yet they were awarded FT's.
-Pikiell kept Myles out way too long and only had 1 foul and could play more aggressively against Garza when he started to take over the game
-I don't understand why RU didn't get the ball on the side of the court instead of going the length of the floor
-RU did a fantastic job on Weiskamp/Frederick and Murray ended up being the X factor that Iowa needed with key hustle plays and made FT's
-Most of the 50/50 calls went against RU with the exception of the charge than Ron took.
All in all despite these factors, Iowa barely hung on for the win. Lot to be optimstic about especially with the return of McConnell. RU is in very solid shape especially once Cliff comes back. While I think this loss could be crucial when it comes to winning the regular season. Rutgers should finish in the top 4 or 5 of the league and to me looks to be locked into a 3-5 seed in the NCAA tournament which I think we would all happily sign up for right now.
