Who all will be live streaming games? Whether via Facebook, YouTube, or a paid service?

I believe Mitchell will be streaming thru YouTube, like they did with basketball games, but not 100% sure.

East Surry will use the NFHS Network with Youtube as a backup for home games. I think Mt Airy uses Youtube exclusively or at least they have for basketball. Ultimately will change between NFHS, Youtube or Facebook Live, depending on who the home team is and what they use.

As far as I know, yes. It is at Mitchell, and they are giving out snow for Friday. Should be interesting to see if Statesville's speed and atheletism is hampered by the cold and the elevation. These young Mountaineers could use a big confidence booster to start the season.

It should be live streamed on YouTube. Also, WTOE will live stream the audio on their website.

Make no mistake, Statesville is likely the better team, but Mitchell didnt look bad in scrimmage saturday. While this won't be the Mitchell we've been used to seeing the past decade, they aren't bad. This is one of those times that playing in the Highlands could be a huge factor for the home team.

I can speak for Statesville. They lost several players that option out for early College. They didn't get to scrimmage. They have QB that unproven at this time. Mitchell was very good last year, but don't know what they have this year. Match up could be very interesting.

Mountain Heritage is using the NFHS network. You can get a month subscription I’m not sure if you can pay by the game. I know the heritage Mitchell Jv game is already on the list of upcoming games.

Why would they use a site where you have to pay? Avery does the same thing. As if this whole pandemic wasn’t dragging enough financially? It stinks not seeing your kid in person, then u get to pay to stream.

From my understanding that was what most of the schools in our conference went with. I know us, Avery, Polk, and I think Madison I can’t remember for sure about Madison went with. If you pay for the subscription then you get access to all the schools home games with the same system. I’ve had to watch volleyball, varsity girls basketball, and now possibly football if nothing gets done about the seating capacity. Is it ideal no. But I’m getting to watch my kids play so it is what it is.

You also have to think about schools trying to make some money to cover the non-revenue sports as well. Again it’s not ideal but just have to do what we have to do during this mess.

you democrats over in Yancey county should stream games for free. Y’all democrats want to give everything else away for free.
