The HS film on Thompkins that I saw looked pretty good, so the fact that he is possibly competing for playing time as opposed to riding the pine with bum knees is quite welcome.

The young man's highlights are impressive, but I wonder sometimes about guys like this. Is it in their best interest to keep playing?

I hope he can keep his knees healthy. I'll be rooting for him. What about Bivens?

Vokolek emerging would be great to see, as well. Stoll doesn’t add much on the field as a blocker or receiver, as much as he seems to like talking off it.

We need weapons everywhere.

Iowa was hard after Travis V when he was in the transfer portal. Some say he’s a potential NFL draft pick at TE. So I’m not surprised at all. At 6’6 and 250 pounds....he’s a match up nightmare.

He looks like a monster, but alot of times that really doesn't translate to the field.

I'll approach everything Husker related with a huge scoop of skepticism as long as I can.

I'd like nothing better than to see Thompkins emerge strong from his devastating injuries and approach his pre-injury potential.

Thompkins was the gem of that class. He is the closest thing I've seen on the field to Phillips since 1995. If he stays healthy, the Heisman isn't out of the question.

Something tells me that Frost wouldn't have taken him as a transfer unless he thought he was something special. We'll see. The first thing we HAVE to do is to get our QB to find him. Something tells me that some of those bubble screens to TEs that got thrown last year were designed for a guy like him.

Generally speaking I don't normally get overly excited about incoming players until I start seeing them on the field... That said however I've been very excited for this guy and his potential since he got here! I was very impressed that Scott kept Nebraska's promise after his injury and I have to believe that comes back and pays big dividends in production from Tompkins!

I have loved this kid since I saw him in the game where he was injured. GBA/GBR.

And the sounds of it, Ronald Thompkins is looking like our RB #2 for the season. He’s really came on strong and looking good in practices. This is great news too. Dude was a legit Top 100 talent before his injury.

I'm pretty excited to see Vokolek. We've seen Stolls ceiling and Rafdal is just not panning out.

Gronkowski is finally rounding into form for the Bucs. They were a little bit worried about him. He is such a matchup nightmare for teams. Would love to see us have a difference-maker at that position with the ability to block and stretch the field . It has been too long.
