Ok. I am saying this tongue and cheek so please don't kill me.

However, a lot of us are saying that 2 more wins will get us in the Tournament.

I was thinking about stealing a page out of Doc Rivers Clippers and resting Gio, Johnson and Harper in the Penn State game. The team gets blown out in that game and then comes to the home game with fresh legs.

I doubt that Pike will ever do this, but why not? The objective is to make the tournament. (Hopefully, we get one win against Wisky or UM.)

Simple. If we play well, we will beat State Penn.

That’s why.

We will have 5 days off between @Penn St and home to Maryland. They will be well rested for the last 2 games and we matchup well against Penn St. Why would give away a chance of an impressive road win for rest we don't need?

Stop. These are 18-22 year old kids who play 2 games a week. These kids are used to playing 6-8 games a weekend at aau tourneys
ok this is one I agree 110% with you... and furthermore nobody is averaging over 30 min/game given the 9 man rotation.

Some of you guys are funny.
Easiest day is the day before game day, second easiest is game day. Hard practices take more of a toll than playing basketball for 25 minutes with a max stretch of 10 minutes. Playing basketball games does not wear out a 20 year old athlete even when you mix in travel, sleeping in a strange bed, school work, demanding 20 year old girl friend ... At the next level the games are 20% longer with less rest between games, and a season that is twice as long, and much more travel. That **** wears you out when you're in your mid 30's. In the NCAA tourney I've never heard anyone mention that any player looks lethargic in the Final 4 because it's been a long season.

Everything is getting “snow-flake-y”. When I played ball, we played uphill in the snow...both ways.

Why would we purposely try to lose the Penn State game. We are a blocked shot away from winning 3 in a row against them and we won there last year. We need a road win. I actually feel like we match up well with Penn State. It would definitely be an upset but won't be surprised if we win. With Harper, Baker and Mulcahy playing well right now, we could finish strong. Enjoy the journey.

We lived on a dead end, one way street. Every time my Dad bought another car, my mother would weep.
Oh you lived in a cardboard box. My mother used to keep house for a family that lived in a cardboard box.
I remember one year for Christmas my parents saved up and got me an IOU...of course they beat me mercilessly when I tried to cash it in.

So the only part of our resume that is an issue is road wins and the plan should be to intentionally put us in a spot to lose one of the few remaining chances to gain another one against a team we have already beaten this season?

:ThumbsDown
