The whole issue about "locks" and "silent commits" is very easy to parse. A commit is only a "lock" when he is "locked-in" as a silent commit, that is, a committed silent commit. Dez was not "locked-in," but he was a silent commit. In these cases one's silence speaks volumes as to the nature of the commitment, especially once he goes elsewhere, as then it is clear that he was not "locked-in." In the other case we know that a player is a silent commit and a "lock" once he actually signs with that team.
