Porters have had an extremly tough schedule thus far with every team having a winning record. That was one of my concerns for them coming into the season. Although the playoffs are out of reach they certainly can still show what they're made of. And what better way than to defeat The 'Brook this Friday?

Motivation is a helluva drug...

This one is a definite reach,.. even for the king of sandbaggers!! I almost bought into the Sandburg pitch (almost).

Lockport's opponents this season to date have more total wins that any of the other 12 teams in the SWSC - 32 and the next closest is back at 28. Their first 5 opponents number 18 total wins to date compared to 15 for the next closest team.

But when they lose they pick up an extra opponent win. So the 4-1 team with 28 opponent win points is the same “strength of schedule” as an 0-5 team with 32 points (actually a tad better as they would have 33 points if they were 0-5).

Opponent wins are not everything and also not the same from conference to conference. I would rather have a win over a SWSC 4-1 team than a 4-1 team in the Upstate 8. Just being honest on that.

I'm just giving a glimpse of the world through these eyes. I'll admit last season this game was at blowout level within the 1st 6 minutes, but that was last year. This year the Porters are looking to avenge last season's debacle. And with them scoring the last 21 points of the game they actually have the momentum right now.
