Would probably move Westry ahead of Ware but otherwise that's probably right. If Baker shows up with a new attitude he makes the.next three along with Conrad and Ware. Then West, Badet and McGinnis who may have a monster year with a healthy leg again. If Baker doesn't change attitude swap him with Badet.

The problem with predicting a team's 3 best players is that certain players progress, regress, or get hurt during a 12 game season. So I don't know who will be Kentucky's 3 best players in November. In September, I expect our 3 best players to be Jon Toth, Boom Williams, and Denzil Ware. Also in the conversation are Chris Westry, Marcus McWilliams, CJ Conrad, and Juice Johnson. This is as good of a time as any to mention Kobie Walker. He has been hurt the entire time he has been in our program, but he is healthy now. This guy gave a strong performance in the spring game. He has a lot of speed on the defensive edge. He can rush the passer, a premium skill currently rare in our program. Kobie Walker could be a big surprise for us this year.

Marcus mcwilson isn't even a top 3 safety on this team. My list of top 10 based on what I project for this year not necessarily past production. 1 Boom 2 Toth 3 Westry 4 Ware 5 Edwards 6 Baity 7 Baker 8 love 9 Conrad 10 Barker

I'd tend to agree here...Ware was best player during spring game but that may be more about our offensive tackle problems.

1. Boom
2. Toth
3. Juice
4. Westry
5. Conrad

That would be my top 5. But if Ware and Love can break out, they can easily pass some guys and be our mainstays on defense (which we need).

Reliability counts in best players. Boom doesn't fit that for me.
Actually had some of the same thought on this. Hoping the new coaches can get him motivated and he can stay healthy. Also don't see him carrying the load as much and he will share with the others this year.

Sleeper to add . . . Jordan Jones. Love this guys mobility and energy.

I would go with this, but I would throw Johnson in there and take a wait and see on Barker

Not true about McWilson. He's easily one of the best players on the defense.

Jordan Jones is definitely my dark horse for a breakout year. The coaches keep saying he's always full of energy no matter how hard he works. So I'm gonna be looking forward to him being a bigger contributor this year.

when he is healthy and motivated Boom is our main game changer but on a hunch I am looking for a big year out of Badet.

You obviously don't have a clue what you are talking about.
McWilson was not running with the 1s this spring. Starters are west and edwards at this point. Mcwilson got benched at times last year in favor of freshman. The most recent depth chart had Mcwilson running with the 2s so how exactly is mcwilson a top 3 player on this team?

Jordan Jones is gonna be one of our favorites whether the outside views him as great. I saw a few flashes as a true freshman and he looked world's better this spring. He looked better than Henderson or flannigan looked with a lot more experience.

I think he ends up being the steal of that class and that class has a few steals in it. He probably isn't ready to be a star yet but he's gonna make some plays. He and love will be a tandem next year though.

It says a lot when we have a fourth year FOUR STAR senior starter bypassed by our other talent. And it isn't just because he isn't any good all of a sudden either, although who knows if some nagging injury hasn't held him back.

I did not say he sucked. I said he is not one of the top 3 in the secondary.

Like almost everyone else, I think our secondary is a team strength. We have good safeties and corners. Marcus McWilson was a 4 star prospect, ranked as 1 of the 20 top safety prospects in the country by Rivals and Scout. He turned down scholarship offers from Michigan State, West Virginia, Nebraska, and California to sign with us. McWilson has more career starts, more interceptions, and more tackles than any other safety on our team. In 2015, McWilson ranked 4th on our team in tackles, only 1 tackle away from a tie for 2nd place. Players' roles in the spring are influenced by a variety of factors like injuries and academics, and sometimes don't predict their fall roles. If you say McWilson isn't 1 of our 3 best safeties, that's your opinion but it isn't supported by facts. Everyone knows that Mike Edwards is a promising young player, but McWilson outplayed him in 2015. I really like Marcus Walker but he hasn't played in a college football game yet.

From my Spring game observation. Defense: Ware, Love, Westry. Offense: Barker, King, Conrad.

I know he wont be the "best" player this year but I am really looking forward to seeing Kash Daniel. He is going to be a game changer and I think he will contribute a lot this season. He is a beast for his age and looks ready to play in the SEC as a Fr. With his size and speed he is a player who will be an impact player. I don't know how he is this advanced for his age but he is going to be awesome.

You said he is not 1 of our 3 best safeties. The evidence clearly says you are wrong.
What evidence your opinion is not evidence. I also do not appreciate you coming off like a jackass. Edwards west and mclain are all better safeties than mcwilson. Eliot went out of his way to say if Randolph is ready at nickel mclain would play safety with the 1s.

I don't think West and Edwards are better yet but they are at least closing in on McWilson. McClain is not ahead of him. At least by my judgement. Eliot might think different however. I do believe career production favors McWilson. He has several INTs and if I remember right at least 2 of them ended up as pick 6's. I guess we'll have to see in the fall if you are right but for the time being I have McWilson as our best DB. Although I do fully expect both Westry and Edwards to end up ahead of him. I just don't have them there yet. I'd like to see those guys in the fall before I move them up.
