Good time to take a look around the BIG for upcoming opponents
1.) Michigan...huge win, zero offense, but their defense stepped up
2.) Washington, continues to win, but looks like garbage doing so. Williams has some wheels on him
3.) Ohio State, epic melt down
4.) Minnesota, I mean ouch, if Mississippi can maintain on defense, they might be a dark horse this year, Taylor will be a top 10 pick in 2028
5.) Wisky, who knows, northern illinois-esq opponent, looked solid
6.) Northwestern, should see a little of what they are going to be Friday against Colorado
7.) Purdue. zero defense, Ryan Browne has looked solid though
8.) Illinois, OUCH
9.) Debby, looked better than week 1, but BG is right there with NIU for worst team in FBS.

The three games after UNI may define the season, or indicate what the last 6 may bring.
Way Michigan and Washington’s offenses have looked first 2 weeks think we have a better shot than before season. Michigan game I expect to be like last Saturday. Low scoring defensive slug fest but their “5 star” has looked anything but. Washington I read had 2 wr go down in their 16-14 win over Utah st. Also sounds like minus qb the running game has been a struggle.

I was really impressed with Mississippi State’s team speed…they made Minny look slow.

Wow, if Washington had two receivers go down…that would be helpful for Iowa, as Washington’s top two running backs are also hurt.

MSU is ranked 20th in the country in talent composite by 247. Nothing near the top of a loaded SEC but way higher than Iowa or Minnesota. Still expecting a tough fight up there.

Bad matchup and game plan by Minnesota. Miss States qb will get exposed when he gets some pressure and has to read a defense. Their O line is just mediocre. Their 3-3-5 defense is soft on the edges. they did invest 30 mil in that roster. Garbage fan base, everything wrong with college football.

LOL, bro Taylor has crazy arm strength, and mobility. If you think he isn't the real deal, you haven't watched him play.

I would just point out that Darius Taylor, one of the Big 10's best backs, did not play much at all against us inthe route in 2025. Just saying......
