Biggest Take aways IMO:
-Chandler has taken the most 3's and has best average 51%. Going into this season I would not have though he would prove himself to be undroppable.
-No one else is close to 40% on threes, Noah and Johnson closest at 36% everybody else in 20's.
-Chandler has the same number of blocks as team leader Moreno (6)
-Moreno plays a minute less than Garrison per game and has almost doubled him in rebounds and is averaging 4 more points a game. Would not have thought he would beat Mo in rebound numbers.
-would not have thought Aberdeen would be team leader in points
-Aberdeen and Johnson both better than Chandler in assists.
-Only stat Oweh excels on is FT's (88%) needs to try and get fouled more.

#4 is upsetting. I don't know what Pope is seeing, but it's quite obvious he's playing favorites, which I thought was sometning that left with Calipari.

Garrison is not the guy you put on a pedestal and give special treatment to. We are going nowhere with him playing this many minutes.

Also, I like Chandler, but if he's our best player… .not good. It’s cool if he's your best outside shooter, but he’s not a dominant force.

If I was Oweh, I wouldn't be happy with these facts.

Hindsight is always easy but I do wonder if Pope might have made a mistake in trying for more athletic players while going away from strong outside shooting teams that worked for him in the past. Time will tell I guess.
Honestly, I think the main issue right now is not having a point guard that can reliably penetrate and find open looks. If Lowe or Jasper can be that for us, things will look better quickly.

Chandler is shooting well, but the Law will come get him eventually.

one stat that really confuses me, is that we have only had a player score 20 once this season, 6 games in we should have at least a handful of 20 point performances

I think we would have more 20-point games if the minutes weren't distributed so evenly. It's time to get it down to a core 7 or 8 that plays the bulk of the minutes. If a player or two doesn't like it, get better.

I'm forcing myself to remain in "UK doesn't have a starting PG or C yet" mode ... it will ease the pain of losing a few more big-time games coming up, sadly.

UK is going to have to make a run in the SEC and really impress the committee if/when JQ returns, otherwise I am fearful for the season's long-term prospects. Hate to be brutally honest here, but UK better do well in this upcoming stretch .... (Zags, UNC, IU, St. Johns)
