I'm still trying to understand the outrage about doing a little blow and going to a ***** house. That's a damn good weekend in my opinion.

Good times. Maybe he will wake up and he can tell his grand kids about the experience.

When are you going to Old Town? I'm actually playing there on the 22nd.
Today at noon. Should be able to tee it up around 2. Cocktail party tonight and then matches start tomorrow at 8. Seniors go off back and Regulars go off front. My partner is Dave Pulk, we were 2-0 last year. Pulk was college teammates with doug Hanzel. Fourball in the am and foursome in the afternoon. We have Rick Cloninger and Jim Grainger as opponents in the afternoon. Cloninger was US Senior runner up last year and Grainger made it to match play this year. Pretty sure Cloninger did too. We have a dinner Friday night and then single matches sat. Dave and I got 5.5 points out of the teams 24.5 last year. We won by a point. Where do you live?

Do you know his whole story?
He's dealt with an awful lot of loss recently.

You mean his experiences with that All American family the Kardashians? Coke,Viagra and cognac are a bad mixture. And the kicker is that the whorehouse claims they had a strict anti-drug policy, I guess it's about effective as those anti-gun and drug-free zones. It's a sad story but he is responsible for making the decisions that guide his life.

Like you, bornan.....at least I think we agree on this....I believe one can be sympathetic (and perhaps even downright concerned) over the trials and tribulations of a given individual while just as quickly recognizing that some of those same T&T's might be self-inflicted, and the direct result of the lifestyle the individual lives (and the people with which they associate).

Using the Kardashians as an example, I freely admit I have absolutely no use for anything or anyone associated with Kris Jenner. That does not, however, mean I possess any ill will toward her or her family (or wish them any harm). Disclaimer: I might make an exception for that latter point as it applies to Kanye West [jumpingsmile]

No, that is only the most public.

His father was a heroin addict. His mother died of colon cancer when he was 12. Had a 6 month old child die from SIDS. ...

Cool, we do agree on this. I don't wish any ill will on anyone ,except those who harm or would harm my family or friends, and that includes the Kardashian clan. However I have little sympathy for anyone who puts themselves in such a position that Larmar Odom has. I do feel bad for Odom, but what the *** was he thinking when he got himself involved with such a piece of trash.

I read a piece this morning claiming he's been "classified" as clinically dead, which flies in the face of others which claim he's improving (if only slightly).

Anyway, I don't know much about the guy currently beyond reports he was trying.....or perhaps thinking about trying.....to mount some form of comeback to the NBA. If that's the case, you'd think he was in comparatively-decent physical shape; at least compared to a suburban slob like yours truly.

But if so, the amount of drugs in his system necessary to turn him into the bleeding, foaming-at-the-mouth mess in which he was said to have been discovered......and he's obviously a pretty-damn big dude to begin with.....must have been borderline incredible.

I think there were signs that he was improving yesterday, but then he took a turn for the worse.

The guy that owns that whorehouse is mobbed up the wazoo. He won't be touched in Nevada.

I feel sorry for Lamar, seventy five grand to a Nevada pimp and few million to a family of LA ho's.

When Lamar's kids hit 18 I hope they sue the piss out of the latter and send Shug Knight after the former.

From everything I can tell, Hof doesn't give two ***** what anyone thinks of him or his business......nor, IMO, should he......and he's never been anything but 110% upfront publicly about the Bunny Ranch's entire proposition.

I admit I really can't figure out exactly who you're for or against in your post; but if you don't like/respect Hof for whatever his role happens to be in this situation, I suppose that's your right. But from what I can tell, it was Odom who freely went to this joint......signed (I think) a $75,000 charge slip......and almost assuredly jammed that box full of pills down his OWN throat.

To be honest, I myself am kind-of getting a kick out of the way Hof is thumbing his nose at that grandstander, Kris Jenner (with an apparently somewhat screwed-up Odom regrettably stuck in the middle). She's among the universe's greatest proponents of the philosophy that "all publicity is good publicity".....and, from that standpoint, Hof is admittedly no better.

But she's been self-righteously quick to BEG for privacy this week to "protect" that loudmouth daughter of hers and her (apparently) pill-popping son-in-law. As one of Hollywood's biggest control freaks, I find it positively hysterical she's crossed paths with someone she (and/or the E! Network) can't control. That said, I freely admit I do feel for Odom; and I take no particular personal pleasure in the fact he's stuck between these two world-champion attention whores.

Still, I continue to wonder how big a story this would actually be......not very, I don't think.....without the Kardashian (hence Kris Jenner) angle. And, why is it that I'm actually not sure Jenner isn't privately pleased with this development with Odom, as it's generated at least SOME measure of public sympathy toward her almost totally non-sympathetic Empire.
