Hard discussions with the players may have consisted of "we cannot guarantee the NIL money you got this year."

That might be enough to run them off.
Let's just pray Konkol is on a learning curve, and figures out how to use NiL wisely in the year we added to the NiL pocketbook.

Alabama and BYU are twice as good as any AAC team. The spread is getting wider.

You're living in dreamland.
What is the going rate for a Big East POY, 4 million? Coleman Hawkins got 2 million from Kansas State. J Cal

I love these whiny asses crying about people learning about them making millions now that they are getting criticism. They sowed their bed. Live with it. You are a professional athlete now bud. You bounce after one year or the first sign of adversity. They have zero loyalty.

People are giving them money to play basketball rather than donating to scholarships or endowments.

They deserve all the criticism for not performing.

I am not a fan of pro sports because of the money involved, guess I won't be a fan of college sports soon either... I hear there is a new driveway game on the rise though. Something where players cannot change teams and everyone is paid the same. I think its called Baseketball or something like that...

Smikle was the main player we had to keep. I would love to see him team with Garcia with both players on the court together. Aside from those 2 every other player should be replaceable by using the portal. Most of those players would be coming off the bench at most top 100 programs.

Eyeballing it, looks like about a quarter of players in the portal have committed. We need to start seeing some commits soon with as many spots as we have to fill.

AD needs to set a deadline for transfers or can K now
I’m not committed to keeping my and family season tickets back to the 60s. Really concerned.

If we can lose a pg from SEMO to High Point, it doesn't bode well for us fielding a decent team next season. I hope some things are happening behind the scenes but I don’t have much hope.

This is starting to feel a lot like my kid's homework, "I have to write a 3 page paper in 47 minutes, don't bother me." "Wow, that's a lot for one night, when did you get the assignment?" "Two weeks ago."

Can we say that our dog ate our recruiting class?

There are a lot of guys still in the portal but we have to fill a lot of spots, at some point we just need numbers.

He'll end up at Villanova with Will Wade just so he can stick it to Pitino and St. John's. Either that or UCONN (that would be dreadful; if he doesn't like Pitino, he'll hate Hurley).

Did you see what Hurley said to some other team as he was walking out after UConn lost in the Tournament about the refs ?
“ hope they don’t f&$k you guys like they did us “

We knew that when he'd bring his team here and started cussing out fans, cussing out Haith, cussing out refs, and cussing out players.

And then we'd beat UCONN and piss him off even more.
Hurley turned that way back when he was a principal … it’s all Gabe’s fault for being late
Here is a video of the scene that turned Hurley into what he is today

i think he like's the smell of money too much to care about whatever coach he gets stuck with.

I'm not saying you are incorrect. But that extension was in process before he was hired. Wasn't his decision. He could step around that if he wanted to.
Imo I don't think buying him out was possible after we just just bought out Wilson. I think if the money was there he'd easily fire him as he did with Wilson. Next year he will 100% be fired if he doesn't sniff the N.I.T or big dance.

I know how it all went down, but Moore was the one who made the official announcement which puts it under his watch. Coach stays, which certainly isn’t my preference.

My preference would have been to fire Wilson for cause and refuse to pay the buyout. Very few schools go this route so I understand why we bought him out
