We have a very long, fairly athletic team. Just the young guys Nance, Beran, Young, Buie, Jones, Kopp, Young are big, talented guys. Nance has the highest ceiling of any NU player I can recall. But those 7 guys could definitely be the core of a tourney team in a year or two if a couple guys have breakthrough seasons and the others steadily improve. You can see why Nance and Beran are so highly rated, just a lot of work to reach that potential.

Agree NU has 6 young players with much potential. A decent guard recruit has already been signed. All of these players have much to work on. What a great coaching opportunity. First time NU has size and length and even front line depth as a strength. It always seems to be a couple years away for NU but this team is different. Basically 1 sr and 1 jr with underclassmen who have not played a lot. PS Beran is a Shurna like player.. not as strong but will be a big contributor.

I had zero expectations for this team based on last year's dismal performance and all the doom and gloom I read here, but they're really fun to watch. Nance has developed some sweet moves to the basket, and Spencer is great at threading his way through the D and making things happen on offense. If they keep improving, they'll surprise some teams in the B1G this season.

Agreed. I actually think Beran is the guy with highest upside. Super athletic and can create off the dribble. He gains some weight and we may have a Sam Decker type player

Agreed! We wont beat DePaul,but we will win half our big ten games!

When this team is on, they're fun to watch. Young and talented. Makes the bad losses a little easier to swallow — but also frustrating, given the potential.
