Cuse scrappy and keeping things some what close. So, we have discussed various issues with this team throughout multiple threads. All of the ‘concerns’ previously noted all have merit. This team has a couple of missing elements non of which are ‘horrible’. What I noticed tonight - passing. This team is not nearly as good of a passing team as we have seen in the past. They are not horrible and show flashes, but; they are not above average either. If their passing improves I think we see improved shooting percentages a ross the board.

I am currently watching Duke dismantle UNCST but there is still time for UNCST. Va Tech lost to Clemson and Notre Dame escaped an upset loss to Miami. A lot of changes coming in the rankings and I like where our team is headed. A lot of room for improvement but a lot of time left.
Almost had 5 players in double figures and good rebounding. To all the HVL detractors Hailey did what HVL does score points, handed out assists and rebound. Don’t get caught up in the rankings too early because they won’t be the same in a couple of more weeks. Our game against Duke will be tough because they play a hard nose man to man defense and they run the floor good on offense.

No ****. Some of you are fixated on this. There are not ANY HVL detractors. Good lord. Thin-skinned much? I love HVL - doesn’t mean she can take a breather here and there. That was a good win last night. The score result was not as close as the score shows.
HVL was brilliant last night! 9-14 FG, 5 rebounds, 6 assists/1 turnover. She took good shots, distributed the ball effectively and battled on defense.
She also played 31 minutes, which I think is ideal for her to be at peak efficiency.

I have heard all kind of negative remarks about HVL. She is to short and will never make in the WNBA, Carr will become the team leader, she doesn’t make good passes, she is out of position defensively, she plays too much. I guess you missed all that?
If you followed WBB, you would know that Konno's family from Japan was visiting for the first time since she was recruited. As a good coach would, Jeff managed to get Konno a few more minutes than normal. Some of those minutes came from HVL because the Cards had a double digit lead. Thye play the same position.
I was there and I knew what was going on. After the game the Konno family picture was taken right in front of us.
HVL also got into foul trouble so she had to sit. She did have a very strong game - she usually does. NO ONE has ever stated she isn’t a team leader and pours in great stats. I still fail to realize why people get so defensive if anyone says anything not 100% positive about her. Yet, people can dump on Peyton V and that was ok.
I follow WBB , I was at the game, Coach Walz is one of the best and HVL is an awesome All-American.
I also think she is best when she gets an occasional breather, like last night.
Nobody gets offended if someone makes constructive criticism about any player. The HVL comments were made by multiple posters multiple times. People have a right to defend her by pointing out all her accomplishments. I like this team I think it has a lot of potential but we are really going to be tested against Duke.
If everyone plays with the same intensity every game as HVL does we are in good shape. The entire Duke team are ball hawks, as a team they go after every loose ball and every rebound. They are a team that can expose weak links on any team. They have a big in the middle who is very versatile who plays good defense and offense.
