I'm okay with that. We finished in the Top 25 with a first-year coach after losing Teddy, not to mention the revolving door at the QB position due to injuries, so I'm happy with this. We can definitely build on this year.

At least we didn't drop out of the top 25. Something we can build on for next year.

Pleasantly surprised. I expected to fall completely out and be at the end of the "others receiving votes" group.

Football outsiders had us at #22, Massey had us at 27 with a high of 16 and a low of 35 funny thing is they throw out the low but not the high. They also have a lot computers that have SEC teams still ranked rather high compared to on field performance. I think it goes back to preseason weightting of the Sec that skewed the whole season as far as polls go. For example computers had Georgia ahead of Georgia tech while humans didn't. Also had LSU ranked and not Notre Dame in many. Garbage in Garbage out, as they say.

I do believe it can be used to build for next year. I look back and laugh and those from another school down I64 that said we Teddy is gone (along with 2 other first round NFL draft picks), U of L wouldn't do a thing. Being a consistent top 25 team and playing in a major conference is quite an improvement.
