They really don't understand that the Yum =/= UL. Despite the university stealing a lease agreement with the arena and almost bankrupting the city, they still think that they control the arena. The university won't benefit much from the tourney there, but the Yum group will. And they should be thankful that the tourney has been there 2x in the past 4 years. Help pay it off. And LOL to the guy who wants women's bball there.

So in summation, the tournament being in Louisville:

1. benefits the city
2. benefits the state
3. benefits UK (proximity, fans)
4. doesn't benefit UofL

I love it.

"and if they don't pay, we should drop the SOBs"

"we should just stop hosting the tournament"

both of those statements are more about UK's dominance than it is about fans using the YUM! center.

Yeah, we really burned the place to the ground the last time we were there. Louisville fans should be grateful to the BBN for supplying the tax dollars to even build that joint.

I love that they built that arena just so that we'd have a place to play our 2nd and 3rd round games. Thanks guys! Instead of having to go to indy or st louis or nashville we got our own home for tournament games now, just like Duke and UNC have had for years.

LOL Funny stuff if it wasn't so pathetic, not one voice of reason in the whole bunch of bigots. Can you imagine that Senore guy posting over 92,000 times, wonder if he has one logical post out of 92,000 chances?

I know and like many UofL fans and I can easily separate them from their sports affiliation as human beings.

EVERY single one of those posters truly believe that UK fans are a sub human form of life.

That mentality is EXACTLY the mentality used by racists.

The only reason that they feel comfortable using this kind of language is that the group they are judging is white.

Are they still hanging on to a lie they created in 2012? Nothing was damaged and nothing was trashed. The YUM center responded to the lies created by UofL fans in 2012 and said nothing was damaged, at all. Just a lie created by some losers and expanded by more idiots.

Didn't they actually find out that it was UofL fans that damaged the Yum trying to make it look like UK fans?

I'm pretty sure that was the case...

found another fantastic gem about all those cheaters:
http://louisville.scout.com/forums/2755-the-yum/13719744-pretty-much-telling-it-like-it-is?s=17

What I find hilarious is that they are in a conference that has Syracuse, UNC, and Miami who are dealing/have dealth with cheating. And of course UCONN in the Big East. Yet it's big bad UK that is the big cheaters, Calipari has just perfected it.

That whole thread is butthurt personified. I guess it's easy to make yourself feel better to accuse your big brother of cheating.

What do you do when you are having a not so great season? Accuse everyone else of cheating. It works for Tom Izzo.

Not that I know of. The only thing that happened was little 5 year old kids wrestling around that hit a sprinkler thing or something. That was on video. Nothing else happened. Some idiot on social media said something happens to a seat or something and it spread all over UofL idiot land. The YUM center publicly stated that nothing was damaged or messed with. Just a bunch of liars.

Have to enjoy UL fans crying that UL shouldn't allow the YUM center to be a host site for the NCAA tourney. UL might have a sweetheart deal lease but they don't have a choice to deny the city to host the NCAA tournament. Crying about women's basketball on top of that. Go host at Freedom Hall. That will hold more than enough for a woman's game.

I probably should have researched that before I typed it.

I definitely remember that they did find out that what little damage occurred wasn't caused by UK fans.

Exactly, not only do UK fans benefit there are whole lot of other teams really close by as well. Really the first two are pretty much what all the conferences tournament are about. TV as well.

Louisville and UL built the thing, and now they complain when UK gets to play there in the NCAA. The joke is definitely on them. As long as UK can get a 1-4 seed they will likely play there every time NCAA games are held there. It's nice after all of these years watching UNC and Duke play in N Carolina to see the Cat's finally get to play in Kentucky.

And as far the vandalism is concerned, i heard of far more vandalism when they were in Rupp in 13 and in 07.

And back in 2012, the water flooding the concourse, didn't WDRB release security footage of a juvenile wearing a red uavel shirt that caused the flooding??? So i guess it wasn't "some racist red-neck cayts fan hanging from the water pipe."

Probably most of those idiots have never stepped foot in the Yum Center. They should not complain about any damage we do since UK fans are paying for the place since most UL fans do not have jobs.

From WAVE TV, March 16, 2012:

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The supposed vandalism of the Yum! Center turned out to be something much less sinister.
A WAVE staff member took a picture Thursday of water flooding part of the first floor of the arena.
We followed up with a fair board spokeswoman Friday.
Amanda Storment said they looked at the surveillance video and it looks like some kids were playing around and accidentally broke one of the sprinkler system pipes. She said it was more horseplay than anything on purpose.
She added the damage to the Yum! Center was minimal and it was cleaned up quickly.

Louisville fans like their explanation better. Don't go and screw up a great story with a bunch stupid facts...

Yum is bankrupt. If they want to claim it as their arena why don't they pay for it rather than having the state stuck with the debt?

I've been around a number of fan bases in my life. Kentucky. Nebraska. Kansas. Tennessee. Michigan. North Carolina. Louisville. Iowa. A few others.

U of L fans are unique. They really are. They are flat out delusional (at least many of them seem to be). It's like Johnelle said when he left U of L. They don't know their place. How many fan bases could stomach the hiring of a guy like Rick Pitino after spending so many hears deploring him? How many fan bases could support bringing back a guy like Bobby Petrino after what he did to them?

U of L fans are the ultimate "look at us" group. They've spent so many decades in piss poor conferences and in the shadow of Big Brother, acceptance is paramount to them. Just a sad group of people.

I mean, do they really want to avoid hosting the NCAA tournament JUST so Kentucky can't have a home court advantage every few years? LOLOLOLOL. My goodness.

GBB!!!

Jealousy is killing the UK haters they don't know how other than saying Kentucky cheats.Coach Cal has a brand that helps these families get to financial security and thats what most of these kids want and to help them hone their skills and to be nba ready and the proof is on Cal's side.Pitino does not have this and he has trouble getting these great players to come to louisville.

One would think but that is never the case with UofL fans. If facts do not support their argument then those facts are discarded as if they don't exist. They have always made up their own "facts" and repeat them over and over and over. They are the poster child for repeating things over and over until they become true.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Laughing out loud at the Card poster who said that Jurich should just send a bill to UK for any damage that is done to the YUM Center. Ummmm........answer me this Archimedes, How can you send a bill to someone to pay you money on something that you don't even have ownership of?

That would be like me trying to bill someone who did damage to my neighbor's house that I myself didn't even own. There's a word for that, and it's not "restitution"---------it's "extortion."

You guys do realize we seeing the comments of the most radical UL fans and shouldn't judge the whole fan base on the message board posters. I know that I wouldn't want to be judged by what some on this board post.

Both of these statements are crazy. The UL fan base conviently forgets that they were trying to get the state legislature to force UK to play them. They also forget that everyone in the county pays taxes to support the "Travel Trailer by the Ohio". To hear them talk only UL fans pay for that place.

I dont know about that. I know many "rational " UofL fans when dealing with everyday life, but mention UK? Geez
