I saw this coming when Hadley came back. With Pryor and Hadley, that would move Scott to the bench. He also is competing with Fru from Germany, Khalifa, and a sophomore Rooths for minutes in the frontcourt. None of them are especially great, but they are all solid and will get minutes.

Wade is a sneaky sneaky recruiter. He will compete in the ACC.

UL has 5 other guys in the frontcourt. I could see where NC State's frontcourt is more appealing with just a 4-star freshmen on the roster currently.

Wade has missed on some fairly high profile Portal targets and those that he has landed have been in the backcourt for the most part. They'll overslot on James and he is from North Carolina in a tight knit family. There's a lot of incentive for him--especially in the context of not having remotely the same amount of minutes as he enjoyed this year. He's a one position player in Louisville's system and there would have been four players with very different skill sets--Fru, Khalifa and Pryor with Scott--getting those 40 minutes a game.

So in other words no big deal on the loss right? 🤣

He’s quitting basketball to become an actor. He’s trying out for Hannibal Lecter 3.

Their frontcourt is gonna be garbage at low post scoring, rebounding, and rim protection...Pryor and Khalifa are more like stretch 4's that wanna float to the perimeter and shoot threes...Fru better be damn good.

Louisville paper thin in the front court. They will be good because of their guards but teams like UK are going to really overwhelm them down low.
Pryor is back and he’s good but he’s no bruiser. I wonder if they make a move or have any other big men coming in?

If Khalifa can get in shape he will be solid. He is a great passing big man but not someone you rely on getting buckets in the post.

Seen him lately? Looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger now,, lol..
Really? He was a chubby dude.

Edit: I just looked up a picture and wow he lost 50 pounds and gained a lot of muscle. Good for him. Did he just not work at BYU or what? None of our guys looked out of shape last year. I do hope Pope stresses weight training and he played for the craziest fitness coach ever!

When he got to Louisville he had the body shape of Grimace and that wasn't helped by the knee injury he played with in his year at BYU; I doubt it turns him into a rim protector or somebody you're comfortable with switching onto a guard in a pick-and-roll, but it should increase his ability to play lengthier stints without getting fatigued.

He has some defensive use, but very limited offensively. Louisville's front court may have some issues this coming season.

With Kelsey´s offense Scott really became a liability against teams. You watch the NCAAT game Creighton big guy just camped in the paint because Scott was not a threat to score aside from being a lob threat. He does some good things on defense, and will be missed on that end. I think Fru is going to be a very good player by looking at the stats he is putting up in Germany. If Pryor can get back to where he was at pre injury I believe we are good. We do lack depth, but I can see us adding another Big

I told one of my friends Louisville got screwed with that 8 seed and that drawing Creighton was a terrible matchup because of that. Kalkbrenner is a load down there and I knew he would be a problem.

Was it a bad matchup for UL? Yes. But I don’t agree they got screwed. They got the seed they deserved after playing an absolute joke of a conference schedule, and losing every big game they played in the pre-conference. In fact, I would say they were LUCKY to get what amounted to a home game. UL just wasn’t that good last year.

Underrated player. I'd take him at UK all day.

I agree they had a joke of a conference, but I feel like they were a better team than an 8 seed. If we had a similar OOC and the SEC was like old times and we played like them and got an 8 everyone would have been livid on here.

I was hoping we would have got seeded where Clemson was at. Which McNeese would have been a better matchup, but no means an easy win.

The issue is where Clemson was seeded compared to us. Yes, they did beat Duke and UK. But we also beat them twice head to head.
