I was kind of thinking the same thing early on. I think UNCC was bringing a lot of guys early and they struggled with it. Once UL burned the blitz a couple of times they laid off and since then the line has appeared to be ok. I am specifically watching to see their line and if Jackson has progressed as a passer. So hard to get a read on anything when the talent disparity is so large. Wont really know a lot about UL until FSU rolls into town in two weeks. Vandy game kicking off right now too! Love this time of year!

Louisville is horrible. They are just playing a terrible team. We beat them by a Gettysburg (4 scores)

8 TD's in the first half has happened before. Baylor did it against West Virginia a few years ago. My high school team would lose, but would score at least three TD's on Charlotte. They are awful.

Almost half a hundred in less than two quarters and you post this? UK all the way, but the birds are lighting up the scoreboard I don't care who it is against.

Ruppsrevenge is a UL fan. Been talked about for a long time. Their is a reasoning behind his posting of sarcastic comments about UL. Just posing as a very dumb UK fan

It's true, the 49ers are still 4 years away from actually having a real D1 football program, if ever. However, anyone who minimizes this UL squad is simply being unrealistic. They had 14 different players catch passes last night, and 8 of those caught passes for TDS; 2 of which with a second team QB.

Petrino intentionally used the first half to make sure Lamar Thomas knew that his first reaction was to stay in the pocket and find an open receiver; this was a lesson in fundamentals and simple execution.

film breakdown on the UL o line. sounds concerning considering the awful competition they were (trying) to block.

But..but..he had 256784 yards and 78 touchdowns. I knew on the first two drives that the oline had not improved.

Folks, UL is going to torch our defense this year. Don't kid yourselves. We've always had trouble with spread read option attacks, and UL has a particularly good one this year. You don't have to have a particularly great OL for Jackson to break contain and get 15 yards each scramble. He's the toughest matchup we have all season at quarterback from an athleticism perspective.

He's not a great passer, but is good enough to make us honor the deep sideline plays. That will be enough to cause us serious issues.

We had better put up some points if we expect to compete.

I disagree! Louisville is good but there some run angles that Jackson took that he simply was more athletic than Charlotte's! Against legitimate D-1 defenses with players just as athletic and fast as he is, He will get popped pretty solidly! I think He better improve his passing and don't do as much running or he could be injured from time to time!

JHB .......nice catch, I meant Lamar Jackson. However, it may have been Freudian slip, as the real story last night was the UL receiver's performance. I am surprised that you would want to pick up on the Lamar Thomas part of this rivalry. It's early, but the Galloway trade for LT is going to be the biggest improvement on the Cardinal staff.

We all get a chance to see what LT does with these UK receivers; for your sake you must hope he has improved from his performance at UL.
