Guys, I'm frustrated. It's been several hours since the UNC game ended and Gary hasn't posted his thread yet. I guess they had one of them war room meetings on campus. Gary probably raided all the coca-cola machines on campus and hid them out of spite towards Roy.
Gary and the other brain trusts from THR have all rode their mopeds over to Chapel Hill to remove Dean’s name from the front of the building.

Real talk though, this is UNC's team this year, and it is a very similar one to teams Duke has had in recent years. Several capable shooters on the roster. No real team running PG. No real post presence on O or D. A general lack of quality defenders.
.
Odds are, enough of their shooters will hit enough of their shots for them to win most games. But when all, or even most, of the shooters are off, they are going to take it on the chin. Missed 3s negate UNC's strongest quality under Roy, and that is rebounding. Missing a bunch of threes means your bigs probably aren't going to get rebounds around the rim.
.
Not scoring points means that UNC has to excel in the half court D, and that is a glaring weakness under Roy. Often, there is at least capable rim protection to ameliorate that bad D, but not this year. They will win a lot of games, and probably hover between the low 20s and mid 10s all year. And could certainly beat anyone come March. But they are much more vulnerable to bad teams this year than usual. They could be one of those 2-3 seeds that bombs out in round 1 or 2.

UL is underrated. Look for them to beat a lot of top ranked teams this year and will contend for the national championship. Once again unc cheater u has the toughest schedule in the ACC and the country. Top notch team game after game after game. Just posting this to make the tar heel lurkers feel better. OFC

UL is very inconsistent this year. They'll look great some games, and terrible some games. Mack will have them in the top tier of the ACC in 2 years. They'll be a sure fire NCAAT team next season (probably on the bubble this year), and a national contender the next year.

So, during the final break with 0.8 left on the clock, ESPN was running their ticker on the bottom of the screen. No better words have ever appeared:

The Lead | (12) North Carolina stomped at home by Louisville.

Good God, as an SID, I would never use the word stomped (and I would not have envisioned ESPN using that word). Pure gold.

You know there are a TON of folks at ESPN that weren't happy under the former regime, wherein they had to treat UNC with kid gloves. Those folks aren't necessarily Duke fans, and I'm sure many of them hate Duke. But they have a lot of pent up anger toward UNCheat.

I've been thinking . Was today's true home game loss to UL a tragedy, castastrophe or Armageddon for unc cheater u or is it something that the world has never experienced before that we have no way to compare it to. OFC

"True Home Game". Like regular home games but more acceptable to lose in humiliating fashion.
