The worst...The Walton's. Most of this was scripted. This rot survived because people from the 20s, 30s, and forties wanted those miserable times and haircuts back.

I would tell my mom and dad, stop watching that garbage. I would make them watch the original Equalizer, a show that's been ruined by idiotic remakes and retarded movies.

During COVID, a friend of mine embarked on a project: to watch the entire Star Trek franchise, none of which he had ever seen before.

After watching the first season of TOS, he called up his dad and said, "Your generation had three TV channels, and Star Trek was on one of them. How the hell did you idiots allow this show to be canceled?? There is no way there was anything better than this!"

There was as sorts of garbage out there. Andy Griffith, Gomer Pyle, Gilligan's Island etc.

Denzel killing people in a Home Depot setting was utter nonsense.

He was better in The Mighty Quinn.

So, you're angry an intentionally scripted show, The Waltons, was scripted. And you think violence in a store is nonsense.

We're all entitled to our own likes and dislikes, but this has been ... uh, interesting.

Perhaps you could amuse the board just by sharing your "unique perspective" on every TV show and movie ever made.

"Alien ... utter nonsense, everyone knows aliens aren't real."
"The Last Unicorn ... the unicorn was far too small, unlike real unicorns."

I remember the Star Trek fans, me among them, conducted a huge letter writing campaign that saved the show from cancellation in 1967. If that had failed the third season would not have been produced and with a lack of shows the program may have failed to get a syndication package after it was cancelled.

My list only includes programs that were popular, but bored me to hell. Bad shows are just bad shows.

The Big Bang Theory - Cute. I hate cute.

Modern Family - Not so modern, nor accurate.

Lost - Never got the hype

The Handmaid's Tale - The book was worse.

Glee - Misfits are misfits for a reason

Dallas - At least it was only one hour a week

Caillou - Even my kids hated this

John and Kate Plus 8 - I could only wish pain and suffering upon them. Does that make me a bad person?

Agree with all of these…add in Falcon Crest, Knots Landing and all the nighttime soap operas.

This has to be the worst take I've ever read in my life. Those miserable times made the Greatest Generation. Maybe you should look in the mirror. The Waltons is one of my favorite TV shows of all time. I still watch it to this very day.

The Cosby Show. That piece of xxxx Bill Cosby playing a decent family physician. He should have played a perverted doctor who molested his female patients. I can’t believe a Black TV network/station has the arrogance to continue to show the reruns. This is not surprising given Crosby was a Black icon.

Nothing is as bad as latter years MASH, mostly because early MASH was such a great show.
M*A*S*H was a great show throughout its entire run. It had bad episodes, sure, but season-1 is not particularly good. There are weak and great episodes in every season.

The Curse of Oak Island. How long has this been going on? After one season, it became apparent they just want this to go on and on. They will find nothing but stupid people watching this con job.

Almost as bad: Skinwalker Ranch. Another con job that will discover NOTHING.

Wishing to bring back the twenties and so on is sheer nonsense. It has nothing to do with the greatest generation, and everything to do with hoping progress never happened.

The Walton's was the worst crap that ever happened to TV

So should Major Charles Emerson Winchester III. Insufferable.
Charles is my favorite character after season-6.

What's interesting is that he's also clearly the *writers'* favorite character, too. He gets a lot of the best lines, and most of the best story angles.

"Death Takes a Holiday" is a top-10 episode.

Law and Order is unrealistic.

I don't care that they are cops - no way in hell they are going to get parking in any of the 5 Boroughs right in front of the building they want to go into - Every. Single. Time. Unrealistic.

Friends was unrealistic

How are you going to get 6 people to be able to sit in the same couch in their favorite coffee shop every single time with no one else ever sitting there first. And, that coffee shop rarely had any people of color - in NYC?!? Unrealistic.

Huh? When did enjoying a story about a devoted married couple raising a large family in hard times become a political statement? Good grief.
