Today's Columbus Dispatch listed its top 25 Columbus area high school football players of the last quarter century. Two Cats made the cut. I hope some of the newer Cats from Central Ohio make many positive contributions at Northwestern and in their respective communities.

Wow, maybe it was Backes given he was Mister Football and, along with OSU’s Simon Fraser, led Upper Arlington to the 2000 Division 1 State Title over my conference’s Solon Comets.

I figured it was Igwebuike & Odenigbo.

Although Big Ike Ndukwe had the best NFL career of any of them He may have graduated to early to count. Is his younger brother on the list, the safety from Notre Dame, along with his HS teammate Brady Quinn?

Jeff Backes was #1 and Godwin Igwebuike was #16. Not too shabby.....
