That was the 5 that played the best tonight. Not saying that's our best five, but they gave the most energy. Lowe is really bad defensively, but we're going to need him on the court on the offensive side because he's the only guy that can penetrate and get to his spots. I hope he doesn't keep celebrating every basket...I'll cut him some slack for tonight though b/c it was a big game, and he made big baskets. I don't think I've seen Lowe and Aberdeen on the court at the same time. Aberdeen has been pretty much relegated to a position he isn't good at. You have to think mentally, we'll be much better off against St Johns. I'm not sure how much upside this team has since we appear to be one of the worst 3 point shooting teams in the country. Williams and Aberdeen have been huge disappointments in that regard. They may break a record for air balls. Just a poorly constructed team for what Pope wants to do. When we get JQ, we could be a really good rebounding team and will finally have a guy that can defend the basket (BG and Moreno for their size are pretty terrible in that regard...drives me nuts when they don't rotate to help). Happy for the team and Coach Pope. There haven't been many positives so far this season, so it's a relief to beat a real team (albeit not a very good one IMO). Those are my random thoughts.
