I hope this is exactly why it’s happening. It probably needed to happen but I wonder if they are fleeing this sinking ship or if he is committed to doing what he has to to turn it around.
I just hope JJ puts his name in the portal. I don't want him eating up a scholarship. He doesn't care about winning, he just cares about coming in and getting his. Him and his uncle can kick rocks for all I care.

So you think Lowe should have just kept on playing?
Or
You think Lowe should have had surgery in January and came back right away?
Do you know anything about the injury Lowe had? Obviously you don't.
Wasn’t really about Lowe. You did notice JQ was in there too did you not? His surgery was a year ago. Different kind yes, longer recovery yes, but had it been long enough for him to return to action? You bet your *** it has. I can’t stand anything about Duke I admire the **** out of foster for working his *** off to be able to be back on the floor so quickly because he wanted to help his team.

Your comment was about Lowe not being tough enough to battle through his shoulder popping out. That's an injury you can't play through in a physical league like the SEC, or any league for that matter.

JQ is a different matter and I didn't comment on him in my reply to you. He quit, probably because his family told him to.

This team was broken, everyone can see that, but at least Lowe gave it a go.

Interesting if true

Highly doubtful that "Kentucky wanted to move on"....as typical of Pope all year, he blames the players, his circumstances, etc. Pilgrim and others are not going to point fingers at them. Lowe saw the writing on the wall and I don't blame him one bit for leaving "on his own".

I can't see any of them willing to take pay cuts so feels like everyone is gone. Might be why Pope got Williams and is after the other 4 star kid.

I can see some of them taking pay cuts and returning such as Garrison, Noah, Williams, and maybe Diaboute. They were so overpaid that the pay cut will still be a competitive offer that they won’t get as easily elsewhere.

All the players and assistants Pope brought in are being scapegoated. Where is his accountability?
For the most part, all the players and assistants brought in during the Pope regime have underperformed. Pope is wholly responsible for being a terrible evaluator of talent - both with evaluating players as well as assistant coaches. But none of the paid players nor assistants deserve a free pass.

Yes, Lowe was hurt this past season after portal-ing over from Pittsburgh for a nice wad of cash. But quitting/entering the portal following what will be a medical redshirt season to me is soft…

I never said anything about Lowe’s shoulder, merely stated how much he played this year. You inserted your own dialogue from there.

there is a core group that would be great to have back provided: (A) they are cool coming off the bench and (B) likely make less money.

this was always going to be a hard needle to thread. doesn't look like its going to happen. if a total reset is the path, fine. maybe pope cal sell the admin on a 4th year because i dont really see it being much better next year.

Only Williams is decent enough to return

You never said anytning about Lowe's shoulder? Then why did you list him here:

Cats_2010:
36 games, 1440 available regulation minutes.
Lowe - 168 minutes
JQ - 68 minutes

Meanwhile Duke players are having surgery in March and playing 2-3 weeks later.

You are saying that Lowe isn't as tough as duke players. I asked you if you thought Lowe was supposed to just suck it up.

Good Luck young fella. I appreciate the heart you showed. Hope you find a good fit
Lowe seems like an awesome kid. Great interview. I wish we could have seen him healthy to see how he truly fit and how he would have benefited others’ games. I suspect he was invited back, it at a significant discount. I wish him well and will follow his next move.

Here you go with that ‘young fella’ BS again. Hope you find a good fit yourself. Like your head up Pope’s *ss. I hope you get some of those ‘likes’ you thrive on. It’s all about post count and likes for you isn’t it old fella ?
I would guess this was biotchsmacked triggered post of the day. But, I need to read more, because there are a lot of emotionally unstable posters today.

I responded to another poster who stated how little we got from our investment of our two biggest transfer portal guys. Merely validated what he said with the minutes we got from each. Never highlighted one player over the other, again anyone with reading comprehension could tell I was talking about JQ in relation to players coming back. Not taking the time to spell out the minutia of every single detail.
