So I was gonna post last week but got busy. After this weekend I look even dumber.
I pronounced Loyola dead, I was wrong, very wrong. I learned my lesson forever with Holecek coached teams. Never will I question them until they are eliminated.
I’m still not sure if I was right or wrong that they were a bad team at that point in season (Ignatius/Montini timeframe). I do still think they might have been a bad team at that point, maybe my eyes didn’t deceive me? This is truly a remarkable coaching job by Holecek that is up there with some of the best I’ve seen. Maybe it’s true that I was wrong and they hit a really rough patch but were a champ all along dressed up as a mediocre team.
Either way I’m an idiot yet again and made myself look stupid, it won’t be the last time I’m sure. Congrats to Loyola and Holecek on one of the best turnarounds I’ve ever seen. I’ll be pulling for Loyola to complete this task even though the BR turnaround is quite the story as well.
