I started watching the CBC/St Johns game. the LA feed was pointing the camera away from the game lolMuch better now.
It is not a big win. This is not a good LA team.Montini taking a knee. Big win for the broncos.
Why?Wow. Didn't expect that comeback
why Wow?28-27 broncos. Under 2 min left. Wow.
It is not a big win. This is not a good LA team.
Because Holecek is such a great coach that he should go 8-1/9-0 every year. Doesn’t matter what talent level he has. Montini just beat the team with the best coach in the state. Why?

as previously stated, this is not taking away from their win, but this is NOT a good LA team. I’m confused@Bowie50 because when a team is up 21-0 I expect them to win.
They are not good this year.Because Holecek is such a great coach that he should go 8-1/9-0 every year. Doesn’t matter what talent level he has. Montini just beat the team with the best coach in the state.
Did you ever consider that they are still good but just got beat by a better team that day, enough for the excuses.Loyola is not good. Everyone is entitled to a down year though.
It’s a good win for Montini, they are 6-0 does it really matter what someone says about them on a message board? No, no it does not. This is not a good Loyola team, not at all.Did you ever consider that they are still good but just got beat by a better team that day, enough for the excuses.

I’ll admit this... The term “good” is relative and means different things for different schools. The level of football being played by Loyola is not good because they’re Loyola. If Marian Catholic put that product on the field it would be “this Marian Catholic team is good” but because it’s Loyola my narrative is “Loyola is not good”. Maybe that’s unfair or maybe I’m just dumb but that’s the way I see things. Not taking anything away from Montini they’ve exceeded my regular season expectations and think they are the best team in 5a, it’s no reflection on Montini if Loyola is good or bad but they just don’t have the juice this year.Irish LB
Define good. I think LA is a good team just not a great team right now. Lets see how the season plays out. Let’s put it in perspective. Will they make the playoffs? Do good teams make the playoffs? Most. Do they necessarily win championships. No
I hope the LA fans understand it is not automatic to be great every year. So MC, BR and now Montini have beat LA, does that mean they are all great teams? That question will be answered by the end of the year.
Any win against Loyola is huge especially on the road
Your talking about a traditional powerhouse private school 3-4x Montini's size.
I guess we’ll just say any teams in the future that used to be good that gets beaten, they are now considered no good ????It’s a good win for Montini, they are 6-0 does it really matter what someone says about them on a message board? No, no it does not. This is not a good Loyola team, not at all.
Good deduction. You’re correct it’s that simple {eye roll}.I guess we’ll just say any teams in the future that used to be good that gets beaten, they are now considered no good ????
Bowie 50: I've always respected your opinion but it is a big win for Montini as they have never beaten Loyola before and they definitely deserve some credit after trailing by 21 points to come back and get the win. Montini is a 5A school (more like 4A) that beat an 8A team and actually controlled most of the game.It is not a big win. This is not a good LA team.
It can be a good win, which it is, and Loyola can be subpar this year at the same time. The two don’t have to go hand in hand.Bowie 50: I've always respected your opinion but it is a big win for Montini as they have never beaten Loyola before and they definitely deserve some credit after trailing by 21 points to come back and get the win. Not a power house this year. I like the broncos but they are not playing against history. Just this LA team
I've been laughing a bit at this thread. Loyola hasn't lost a game on its home field since 2010. Yeah not big at all.
Mr. Speed:
Actually, the last time LA lost on their home field was earlier this season when the team hosted Mount Carmel. The loss to the Caravan was the first home loss since dropping to PC in 2009.
I was not able to get to the LA-Montini game last Saturday because of a trip to South Bend, but beating LA at home under John Holecek is an achievement not to be dismissed as insignificant. I have yet to see Montini play this year, but I do plan on watching them when I get the chance. From what I understand, they have several underclassmen playing and will be even better over the next two years.
For LA, this year may be a disappointment for the team and coaches, but for me it is not: John has provided me with over a decade of superior, dominant football and it is to be expected to have a modest season from time to time.
Regardless of the outcome of this season, those who are predicting the demise of LA's football fortunes based on this or any loss this year are gravely mistaken.
The team is different every year am I right? This team isn’t good. They shouldn’t be judged off of previous Loyola teams. I’m a big Naz guy, the 14 and 15 teams went b2b and 17 went to the title, 18 seems pretty good but the 16 version was not a good team. Sometimes it happens, Naz had 2 d1 kids move or transfer out, Loyola’s got some big injuries. These circumstances were outside of their control but we don’t have to call them good because other previous Loyola teams were.I should of clarified I meant before this season. Just surprised how quickly some are with labeling them "not good".
