I would say it is probably Matt House our ST coach, they let Bradley Dale Peveto go yesterday. Ironically BDP was our ST coach in 2013, CMS 1st season.

If it's anyone major like Marrow then Mitch will open the checkbook. Marrow is too important for this program.

I think Orgeron is going to be gone within 3 years. He is the reason why you don't fire a coach during the season and name an interim. You immediately are forced to justify not only firing 1 coach, but then essentially firing a 2nd just a short time later.

I thought they were looking at Kiffin, or does Tennessee have the inside track on Kiffin?

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

TN needs a DC worse than OC. No way in hell he leaves Bama for UT, Botch will be looking for a job himself after next year.

House no doubt, Marrow is long shot for Louisiana recruiting besides Texas and Bama plus Mississippi ain't his familiarity. JMO

I'd say offensive side of the ball considering that is what Big Ed needs to revive.

Wouldn't surprise me if the entire offensive staff gets some looks from all over.

It is probably Gran, and I'd say he isn't biting, other than to perhaps get himself bumped up to $800k or so without moving.

Hopefully Gran is sufficiently loyal to Stoops not to bail out after just one season??? Give that man a raise and/or extension to show how much he's appreciated.

If it is Gran and he acutally left that would mean we are on OC #4 in 4 years. We finally have a OC I trust calling a game from start to finish. Y
Then add in his RB coaching ability and it would be a major loss.

I think you have to give some credit to Hinshaw for the improvement and maturation of Johnson as the season progressed. He is a real good QB our first since Stoops arrived. Also if it's Gran and he does leave he could potentially take Hinshaw with him barring Stoops promoting him to OC.

To say Marrow is irreplaceable wouldn't be right because there are many different TE coaches out there. But to have accomplished what he has on the recruiting trail I would hate to see him go. Some have said UK couldn't recruit in Ohio and he single handedly proved them wrong.

Well LSU did just give Aranda a nice bump, basically tripled his salary. Seems like Big Bayou Ed has demanded that the war chest be opened.

If they offer Gran 900,000-million+, that's serious business, I don't think anyone could blame him for jumping at that opportunity.

Should that happen, I think for the sake of continuity Hinshaw should be promoted. Then, maybe look into bringing in Sark for assistant OC/passing game coordinator.

Morrow getting lured away would open up a spot for Sark as well, to come in as chief recruiter/offensive assistant.

We aren't hiring Sarkisian. You can put away that thought. I do like the idea of trying to retain Hinshaw as OC if Gran jumps, but frankly, money aside, I don't see Gran hitching his wagon to Orgeron's for any sum. JMO.

Coach Marrow, as noted, is probably not very interested in making his pitch in OH for a Gulf state school. Dantonio, Harbaugh, and Franklin are the suspects if Marrow is listening to someone.

I have no doubts Marrow could sell LSU to recruits. To me the bigger question is why would LSU want someone who specializes in recruiting Ohio. Don't get me wrong, we've done well with Ohio kids but LSU recruits Texas and Florida where the 4 and 5 stars are plentiful.

Hope you are correct. Who, then?

I'm wondering about Brumbaugh. Some here take shots at him but I think he's doing a good job, his current DL is making good progress which isn't bad considering what he has to work with. Ogeron was Miles DL coach but when he took over he brought in Pete Jenkins who's considered a DL guru, Stoops is a proponent of Jenkins. But Pete Jenkins is like 75 years old, have to wonder how much longer he wants to coach. I think UK will have a hard time holding on to him.

^Huh... Well, if I understand you correctly, that seems odd. Not sure why he would even consider it. Frankly, I don't understand Orgeron if so. LSU does not need a presence outside its traditional recruiting footprint.

You never know when someone's name is being floated as a candidate for a different job (1) to drive a raise, or (2) in an effort to throw some shade on our program's stability. That's not to say we don't have some marketable coaches. Just relax, and worry about it if and when it happens.

Agreed. I don't think there is anything to worry about.

I think these coaches know they are sitting on a goldmine of a season next year and Id be surprised if anyone left voluntarily....no matter who comes knocking on their door. UK is going to be in the thick of things next year. Mark it down.
