I have no real problem with Jackson winning, and I thought he would because of his team's success, but Luke was ever bit as deserving, if not more. But here is where all the negativism rears it's ugly head. The Grayson Allen witch hunt (still going on with the technical call at UNC), all the injuries, Duke not living up to expectations, even K's back surgery. You'll have to look long and hard to find a 'good' story about Duke this year. All of this affects some people's perceptions of Duke, and it's players...and that's all it takes in a 'beauty contest' vote. Not saying that is what happened, but it didn't help. Duke will get no favors this year imo, including when it comes time for NCAA seeding.

We played Virginia twice. I'd say they are pretty good also despite their stumbles.
yes you did, but they are are the 2nd tier of the ACC teams...i left that one off, but Duke had 7 games against the middle @uva @vatech wfx2 miamix2 and @cuse 5road/2home while unc had 6 uvax2 vatech @miami @wf cuse 3road/3home....i just wish the home/home was still in place, but our league has gotten too big

Well Luke has already made a couple of All-American and so has jackson but one little thing that needs to be addressed. The ACC awards comes from the coaches as well as the writers. The writers being key here because you have to remember that a lot of the local sports writers are alumni of unc and their 1st place vote is going to jackson and kennard just falls to where he did. Yea you should see the Charlotte paper everyday. Those sports writers love them some heels. Full page color photos daily.

I don't see his draft stock improving by staying but I just think he does gets his degree and gets drafted around 20 or so ..He really needs to improve on the defensive end . He has the tangibles. If we win it all this year I sway the other way

Spot on post my friend! That negative perception in the media, largely perpetuated by ESPN has haunted us all year...

I would love for some of you guys to be right regarding Luke....but I just don't see him in college next season. And it seems the chances get less and less with each passing game.

As much as I will miss him if he does leave, I sure will enjoy watching him at the next level.Luke's just Luke, a really good natured kid who happens to be extremely talented and the NBA can use more kids like him.

I said the other day it was a consolation prize for Jenkins draining the 3 ball at last years FF.

I'm so sick of that guy. Can't stand listening to him do games. He is a self absorbed, arrogant douche.

I feel the same about him. About every other game they have to do some kind of pre-commercial spot where they talk about the great Jay Bilas. He sits there with a grin on his face when the camera cuts to him. He probably requests it every time.

do not understand why they vote for theses awards before tournament play.Might be a different outcome if they waited until after the tourney
