why do I associate him with the U. of Arzona? Did he go there after he was at Iowa? I don't recall him being at Iowa but, then, they say the memory is the first thing to go.

Yes he left Iowa for Arizona.

One of his 5 Final Four Teams was the Hawkeyes

Yes, 1980 with UCLA, Purdue and Louisville. Good coaches in that Final Four: Lute, Denny Crum, Larry Brown and Lee Rose, who was succeeded by Gene Keady for the next million years.

Coached Long Beach State in the 70's...as did Jerry Tarkanian (connection to Rutgers: Les Cason).
