Looking on the PHS PTV Instagram page it looks like they will have it on Youtube:Palatine usually streams on their YouTube channel (Here)

QB1 came out holding his shoulder, apparently the same shoulder that sidelined him last year (per the announcer)Paltine QB2 - status of QB1 unknown.
14-0 Griffins early and they are moving the ball again.
We can't have nice thingsQB1 came out holding his shoulder, apparently the same shoulder that sidelined him last year (per the announcer)
Well, Martino is heir apparent.. let's see what he can do.We can't have nice things
Cameraman is doing a good job of not getting NPCsQB is officially out. Great player who had several obstacles along the way. Look for me on TV Bonesy! I’m on the P sidelines in red dunks and a red hat.
Geez Scott ….i want your betting info. Halftime has LWE up 48-6 over Palatine….actual score.Best of luck to both.
LWE 48 Pal 7
It’s a gift!Geez Scott ….i want your betting info. Halftime has LWE up 48-6 over Palatine….actual score.
Injuries are awful especially this late in the season with winter and spring sports ahead.Cameraman is doing a good job of not getting NPCs![]()
Get it done Maine South on Saturday. MS4EVER on a mission. It’s a gift!
Catch48-6 at half. MS nailed it. Lamplighters is calling my name. Or Durty Nellie’s. Somewhere warmer and more alcohol-ish.
I’ll give you my honest opinion. Without Jonas they’re a pretty good team. With Jonas? Ridiculous.Catch
You saw LWE for the first time. How did they look? Score indicates a beat down. Is Jonas and the Griffins what you expected? Do tell.

It's weird - they had alot of juniors and half a dozen sophomores starting this year, plus a bunch of very good players coming up from this year's JV squad - but I have no idea how they're going to do next year w/o guys like Santi, Fager, Downer, Balanganayi, Griewe. All were three year varsity guys. ( I hope Santi is OK and it's not broken like last year, so he doesn't miss basketball season- this year's B-ball team should be really good like two years ago)As for the Pirates… This year never quite came together. And now three stellar multi-sport athletes who have been main stays in football for three years are graduating. Tony B, Santiago, and Fager left their mark on the program. Going to feel different without them.
Fager was the big difference maker on this years squad. The program losing him is going to hurt the most. It's weird - they had alot of juniors and half a dozen sophomores starting this year, plus a bunch of very good players coming up from this year's JV squad - but I have no idea how they're going to do next year w/o guys like Santi, Fager, Downer, Balanganayi, Griewe. I thought Martino did pretty well as the heir apparent QB, outside of the late pick6. I really liked seeing Chase Klipowicz gets some carries at the end - that kid's a stud pure an simple. I can't figure if they're a 5-4 team again or better. There's gonna be a lot different with next year's team and I just don't have a feel on them yet. I feel like we're not growing guys enough - Barrington's 10-1 squad this year is made up of two classes that actually didn't do much as freshman and sophomores, and I thought with Piepert gone they'd take a step back - but somehow they turned out much better as varsity squads. I felt Splitt did that when he was HC at Palatine, but since then we haven't.
It’s absolutely crazy how accurate these kids can be at hs level. ThatThere were more than a couple where the Palatine guy had good coverage, and the only way the pass is completed is if he puts it EXACTLY where it needs to be to be caught - and he did it e-v-e-r-y freakin' time![]()
Very well said I think you hit on all points. I been watching Jonas since his freshman year and he was lights out and has just gotten better each year after. This East seems to be a scrappy bunch and when healthy coach Z has them playing at a very high level. The job Z has done with Jonas has been spectacular. East if they can stay healthy will be a big problem for whoever they play. Key for them is staying healthy.Hey Corey!
Here’s how I was introduced to the mighty Griffins tonight. I was running a minute or two late because wifey worked late. Pulling into the lot at 7:01, hoping the anthem ran long, and I get a text “TD LWE”. Yikes. As the substitute bio teacher is searching for my name on the pass list, they score again. It’s probably 7:05 now, and 14-0 them. Navigate my way thru concessions and onto the field, and the Palatine QB is walking off of the field towards the ambulance, holding his left arm. Thattsa no good! Find my B-I-L and nephew, and before we’re done bro hugging, LWE scores again. It’s like 7:11…. 6-something left in the first quarter…. 21-0!
The Griffins weren’t quite what I expected “getting off the bus”, if you know what I mean. I agree with Eagles2k3 about their lack of size being a bit surprising. I anticipated the Griffins would remind me of Dallas Carter in Friday Night Lights, with all the beards and tattoos and 20-somethings.
That being said, it only makes the actual football they played even more impressive. Palatine is huge, with D-1 guys on both lines, “Steve Smith” at receiver, and a big strong QB. Preseason Top-15. Battle tested versus Barrington, Fremd, Maine South. GBS, and Prospect.
Didn’t matter. Made no difference. LWE did whatever they wanted to do. Holes were blasted open on offense. They brought the thump on defense. The kicker was ridiculous. Felt like a complete mismatch top to bottom, except the overmatched team was actually a quality 8A program with real players all over the field.
Extremely well coached. Tough. Disciplined. Workmanlike. I love the way the whole team gathered during timeouts and quarter breaks. I shouldn’t be surprised, considering the tremendous amount of success they’ve had for the entirety of their existence. But it was impressive to see with my own eyes.
Jonas…. That’s a bleepin’ real dude. Again, this isn’t breaking news considering he’s headed to USC. I’m glad I got to see him in person. I’ve been watching Izzy Abrams every week for the last two years, so I’m very familiar with the pedigree of highly recruited, immensely talented QBs.
My unfair, first blush comparison of the two, (granting that I only have a tiny sample size of Jonas). Jonas is more accurate. Izzy has a bigger arm. Izzy probably runs a bit better, but Jonas didn’t need to run. Jonas is more polished. Izzy plays the way Caleb plays right now, and Jonas plays the way we want Caleb play eventually.
Considering Izzy is #2 in the Class of 2027 and Jonas is #10 in the Class of 2026, I’m guessing the Class of ‘26 is a lot deeper. I’ll post a couple TD clips after this.
TLDR: They looked very good
Good luck to Lincoln-Way East the rest of the way. I can’t even believe that quarterfinal match up.
As for the Pirates… This year never quite came together. And now three stellar multi-sport athletes who have been main stays in football for three years are graduating. Tony B, Santiago, and Fager left their mark on the program. Going to feel different without them.
