On this board, If it's not the Catholic league, no one cares...
My opinion is that HF has been on cruise control waiting for this game. A few yards short last year I think this will be their showcase game. LWE-if they play them tough definitely a 7A favorite.
Plenty care, but my guess is that no one from the LWE side wants to stick their neck out and suggest how they can beat the greatest team on the planet only to have Cornholio come out of his cave to badger said poster into admitting that there is no way any team on the planet can come within five touchdowns of his beloved Homer-Flosswood.
We all know that H-F has not run the table since NIXON was president and LWE has run the table under their current coach so maybe LWE knows how to win the big game, so yes we all hope to see LWE make this a real test. Most want LWE to win strictly as a facial to our troll friend.
So tell us...do you see LWE's progression from week 1 as a sign that your boys are ready to step up and put together 48 minutes in the face of Homer-Flosswood's world class talent? No Catholic teams are playing in this game, so please stay on topic

It's tough to get a read on either team. As has been discussed, H-F's win over Stevenson seems less and less impressive. LWE has been under the radar since their 1-point loss to OPRF. History suggests LWE has a good chance. I want to see how H-F's defense performs. Have they improved since the Stevie game? Can LWE slow down H-F's explosive athletes and limit the big plays?
According to the "troll" this game will be broadcast live on CBS with Greg Gumbel and Phil Simms announcing.
I will step up and say LWE will give them a game. I won't go as far as to say they will win but HF will know they were in a battle. Coach Z will have the Griffins ready.

Damn, I was going to watch until I heard Phil Simms was going to be on the broadcast.
LWE tends to play up to their competition, so I would expect them to give HF all they can handle.

I answered PJJP's first question. But to answer yours, these are teenagers so who the hell knows?
you always say that; ironically enough, in threads always begun by catholic league supporters who are the first to post about it...explain that?
of course LWE can win. they are well coached and always play well in big games. will they is another question. If i was to predict an LWE wi, i'd say something like 17-14.

So is your point that there is too much interest by catholic school fans or not enough public followers? Personally my kids went to Naz and I am a Lyons grad, so I kind of follow both. There certainly are certain schools with more or at least more vocal fans on this site.
Agreed, so the question is where are all the hf posters, where are all the lwe losters, where are all the posters from that conference?
Not sure how lack of supports from those schools is a catholic league problem. ... think of t ou allrgation, then recall who started the thread.

Since 2005 show me a game where LWE was taken to the wood shed? You would be hard pressed to find a game where LWE was blown out. Unless something completely changed with there program and I don't believe anything has coach Z will have his team ready. If East doesn't win they will give HF all they can handle.

JC, i don't know. Seems like the only ones on this board are Corey and I and our kids graduated a long time ago. hFDad and LockportDad are around but don't post much.

I wish the public fans would be more vocal. I am glad GBW (GW) is well represented, but am disappointed that other than HS and HC, there are not many vocal fans from the individual WSC schools. I think the same can be said of just about every public conference. Several of the Catholic supporters do a decent job of commenting on WSC games, and their input is appreciated. I wish HF had some more credible vocal fans.
In my opinion LWE is one of the best coach teams in the state and have a chance in every game that they play
